Jordan Brand has something special planned for the 30th anniversary of Space Jam, including a rare Air Jordan 11 made specifically for the occasion. Along with the return of the original “Space Jam” colorway, the brand created an Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam Laser” edition that will only go to a small group of Friends & Family.
The biggest change comes on the black patent leather mudguard, which features laser-etched graphics connected to Michael Jordan’s career and history. Royal Blue Jumpman branding keeps the shoe close to the original “Space Jam” look, while translucent outsoles return underfoot. “30” embroidery is also added to the heel tabs to mark the film’s 30th anniversary.
The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam Laser” is expected to remain exclusive to Warner Bros. executives and select Jordan Brand Friends & Family. Reports claim only three pairs were made, although that number has not been officially confirmed.
There are still several Air Jordan 11 releases planned for the wider Space Jam anniversary collection. The “Magic Ball” and “Green Screen” colorways are scheduled for November, followed by the return of the original Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” in December.
