The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is officially returning for Holiday 2026, right in time for the film’s 30th anniversary. This drop continues Jordan Brand’s yearly tradition of anchoring the holiday season with a major Air Jordan 11 launch that reaches every age group through full family sizing.
The “Space Jam” story remains one of the most layered in the Air Jordan line. Although absent from the original 1996 lineup, early pairs circulated quietly between film production and MJ’s playoff return. One version featured the No. 23 for the movie, while another displayed his temporary No. 45, worn during the 1995 postseason. Fans didn’t see a retail version until 2000, which leaned on blue accents and a lower-cut patent leather. A 2009 edition followed similar cues. The 2016 retro, which moved back toward the original player sample by reissuing the higher-cut patent, special Looney Tunes packaging and the No. 45 heel stamp, was released.
Jordan Brand has not confirmed the exact design direction for 2026. Collectors are waiting to see whether this edition uses Concord or Blue detailing, and whether the heel number returns to 45 or stays at 23. The patent leather height also remains a major point of curiosity. That being said, with some of the recent AJ11 retros, this could serve as the perfect marriage of nostalgia and modern production.
With the model’s cultural significance, holiday release, and anniversary connection, the “Space Jam” Jordan 11 will surely be one of 2026’s most hyped releases before it even lands.
