Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue” Sneakerheads STILL Want Them

Published on

The Air Jordan 11 always has a way of creating a lot of hype. Being one of the most coveted silhouettes in Jordan Brand’s arsenal, JB has made it a tradition to release an Air Jordan 11 every holiday season in December. Last year brought us the Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue.” If you don’t remember, the sneaker is dressed in all black down to the patent leather and midsole with subtle touches of gamma blue on the sole and upper. Retailing at a high of $185, the sneaker was, and still is, one shoe you want in your collection. Even after almost a year, the sneaker is still going strong. In just 3 months, the sneaker has racked up $318,272 in total sales, averaging at $325.10 a pair.

The stylish design and never before seen black midsole continues to prove that Jordan Brand still got it. Although there were a huge amount of pairs released to the public, the consistency of a higher selling price keeps the sneaker at a strong advantage point. The constant 4.4 bidding’s per listing accumulated to an average of $140.10 over retail. You would think the price would go down because of the time after released, died down hyped, and newer sneakers, but in fact people are more willing to pay for a pair because of these factors. In the four months we looked at, there were a gathered amount of 1,675 listings on both eBay and Kixify alone. Out of that number, about 836 of them were successful making the sell-through rate a smooth 49.91%.

If you’re still patiently waiting for the price to drop down before you cop a pair, it looks like you’ll be waiting for quite sometime because at this rate the price drop doesn’t look too promising.
