Andrew Wiggins has reached an endorsement deal with adidas – which was the brand that sponsored Kansas during Wiggins one season with the school.
The details of the contract were not disclosed, but sources claim that it’s a five-year deal worth approximately $12 million to $13 million.
Andrew Wiggins now joins Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Tim Duncan, Joakim Noah and Candace Parker as their primary endorsers in basketball.
Fun Fact: adidas has a long way to go to catch up to Nike, which owns an astounding 95 percent of the basketball shoe market share (Jordan: 58 percent; Nike: 37 percent) in the United States, according to market retail tracking firm SportsOneSource. adidas has a 3 percent share. – ESPN
