In celebration of the upcoming launch of the SL Loop Runner, adidas Originals has created a limited, never-to-be-sold SL Loop Runner that nods to the original color way of the SL 72.
The SL 72 was introduced in 1972 for the Munich Summer Olympic Games, the same year as the Trefoil logo came about. 42 years later, the SL Loop Runner is the latest addition to the SL family with sleek, simple and clean stripped down style.
The nod to the SL 72 can be seen in the SL Loop Runner through its modern take on a lightweight upper material, iconic T-toe and sculpted concave midsole. The SL Loop Runner also features a unique execution of the serrated stripes, which peel up to form the eye stays.
This limited edition SL Loop Runner is produced in a run of 200 pairs. Check out the detailed photos below and stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for further release info.
