One of the cool things that brands can do is mix-match their silhouettes to create one release. Example, this new adidas Crazy 8 model that has features from the adidas Mutombo.
The backstory to this unique adidas Crazy 8 “Mutombo” colorway takes us back to the 2001 NBA Finals when both Kobe and Mutombo battled against each-other. Another interesting factor in this collaboration is that Kobe Bryant is from Philly.
The adidas Crazy 8 “Mutombo” features a Black suede upper with the “55” for Mutombo embroidered on the ankle and sewn on the tongue. The unique print is taken from Dikembe’s signature sneaker that hits the midsole, while both Red and Yellow are accented throughout.
