Football culture continues to play a big part in the adidas SPZL line, with the Gazelle SPZL FC getting a new “Black/White” colorway this September. The FC series is built around terrace style without representing one specific club, giving the shoes a broader football connection.

Black suede covers most of the Gazelle SPZL upper, joined by black leather around the eyestays and laces. Off-white leather is used for the Three Stripes and heel tabs, while a small gold “SPZL F.C.” graphic is stamped near the lateral heel.

The details continue with textured black tongues, white adidas labels, and additional graphics tucked beneath the laces. Inside, the insoles are covered in repeating adidas, SPZL, and FC branding. A black textured midsole wraps around the bottom of the shoe before giving way to a gum outsole with herringbone traction.

The Gazelle SPZL takes its shape from different eras of the Gazelle rather than copying one specific version. adidas SPEZIAL originally developed the model using details pulled from Gazelles produced during the late 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
