The adidas Adistar Control 5 is getting a new look from Portland’s Deadstock Coffee. For this pair, the coffee shop went with red and yellow to match its ground coffee bags, with black mesh covering much of the upper.

The Deadstock Coffee x adidas Adistar Control 5 comes with a leather toe cap, suede side panels, and a nylon tongue. Black open mesh covers much of the upper, while yellow appears on the inner lining and sections of the outsole.

Deadstock Coffee was founded in 2015 by former Nike footwear developer Ian Williams. The shop previously worked with adidas on a ZX 5000 in 2021, using the sacks that carry coffee beans as inspiration for that release. There have also been projects with Nike and Jordan Brand over the years, including a custom Jordan Tatum 2 made for Jayson Tatum in 2024.

The Deadstock Coffee x adidas Adistar Control 5 releases October 30, 2026, at 8 AM local time, exclusively at Deadstock Coffee. Quantities are expected to be limited.
