The all-white “Halo” Kobe releases started in 2023, and the Kobe 7 is the one Nike has planned for August 23, 2027. That’s Kobe Bryant’s birthday, which is why Nike and Vanessa Bryant started doing these shoes in the first place. The Kobe 7 is also getting a Protro version of the “Invisibility Cloak” colorway in 2027.

The first pair was the Kobe 8 Protro “Halo” in 2023. Nike and Vanessa Bryant have used a different Kobe model for the birthday release each year since then, with every pair done in white.

There were three Kobe 9 Protro versions in 2024, including the Elite High, Elite Low, and EM. The Kobe 3 Protro came in 2025 with full-length Zoom Strobel, Cushlon 3.0, and improved traction. In 2026, Nike released the Kobe 10 Protro “Halo.”

We haven’t gotten the full details on the Kobe 7 yet. It’s expected to be white across the upper, Swooshes, and midsole, with the usual Kobe branding and possibly a little black. Nike still hasn’t confirmed the materials or exactly how the finished pair will look.

The Nike Kobe 7 Protro “Halo” is set to release August 23, 2027 through select retailers and Nike.com.
