As always with New Balance sneakers, the fit and aesthetic of the New Balance 2000 “Neptune Grey” feels very intentional and well-balanced. Constructed with overlays of mesh panels and flowing synthetic materials, the muted greyscale colorway plays with darker neutrals and lighter Neptune inspired tones throughout the upper. Stylistically it feels sharp and cohesive.

Separated ABZORB units create a noticeable linked chain of pods that run vertically from heel to toe. While stylistically it begins to venture into more sci-fi territories, it also maintains that performance-first mentality.

Whether it’s the mesh upper and sleek supportive panels that direct your stride, outlined “N” logos and faded graphic accents that provide movement, or molded outsole that offers popping sections of traction and flexibility, everything feels measured. This sneaker exemplifies NB’s recent transition into more experimental sneakers that lean into performance.
