ASICS, the iconic Japanese sportswear brand, joins forces with ZUTOMAYO for an exciting take on the classic GEL-Kayano 14. Known for merging high-performance footwear with cultural pride, ASICS brings ZUTOMAYO’s vibrant, story-driven world into the sneaker scene. This marks the band’s first-ever footwear collaboration, blending music, art, and style.

ZUTOMAYO, short for Zutto Mayonaka de ii Noni, was founded in 2018 by the elusive artist ACAne. The J-Pop and rock band has gained massive popularity, amassing over 910 million YouTube views. Their unique storytelling and artistic vision now expand into footwear with this dynamic partnership.

The ZUTOMAYO x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 releases in two bold colorways. The Black/Purple edition showcases a dark grey and black upper, highlighted by vibrant purple accents on the lining and tongue. A glossy, semi-translucent ASICS logo overlays the side panel, adding depth and a jelly-like finish. The modern bungee lacing system adds a trail-inspired touch, while custom insoles reflect ZUTOMAYO’s futuristic aesthetic.

In contrast, the White/Green edition delivers a lively, fresh look. Its off-white mesh base is paired with bright lime green overlays and bold purple laces, creating a striking color contrast. Pops of pink throughout the design add playful energy, while the dual-colored sole ties it all together. This edition also includes the bungee lacing system and signature ZUTOMAYO branding for a cohesive feel.
