Nike Unveils Two What The Kyrie 2 Releases

Published on

According to Nike, the What The Kyrie 2 was created so no sneaker customizers can make the same pair. Which is why there are two different colorways for the release.

Nike wanted to do something that only they could do and design. That’s why we’re getting a “Sail” and “Green Glow” colorways of the Nike Kyrie 2 “What The” release.

Instead of going with a traditional color mash-up of previous Nike Kyrie 2 releases, they went with a different approach. Using a more monotone, sculptural, dimensional execution with very minimal color pops.

Featuring several of Kyrie’s stories through unique 3-D textural graphics carefully molded on both shoes. The Sail-based execution nods back to the debut “Dream” Kyrie 2, while the Green Glow edition acknowledges the “Kyrie-oke” edition.

What The Kyrie 2 Release Date

Look for the Nike Kyrie 2 “What The” to release on December 12th, 2016 at select Nike Basketball retail stores. The retail price tag is set at $120 USD.

The “Sail” colorway will release exclusively to North America and the “Green Glow” colorway will only be available in the rest of the world.
