The VandyThePink x ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 “Vanilla” is getting a wider release after first showing up through VandyThePink’s own launch. The shoe debuted alongside a “Chocolate” version, but the lighter pair is the one heading to more stores.

The colorway takes its cues from vanilla ice cream, using white mesh across the upper with metallic silver overlays around the GEL-Kayano 12.1’s early-2000s runner shape. Rainbow detailing around the shoe brings in the sprinkle theme without taking over the design, while pink covers the outsole.

Yellow and green accents show up through the GEL cushioning underfoot, adding more color beneath the mostly white and silver upper. Custom insoles feature VandyThePink and ASICS branding and carry the dessert-inspired theme inside the shoe as well.

The “Chocolate” colorway will stay tied to the earlier VandyThePink release and in-person launch. The VandyThePink x ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 “Vanilla” releases globally on August 14, 2026, for $195 through ASICS and select retailers.
