VANDYTHEPINK is back with ASICS for another ice cream-themed release, picking up where last year’s GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 “Banana Split” project with atmos left off. The Virginia label has moved over to the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, which will arrive in “Vanilla” and “Chocolate” colorways.
The light duo features off-white mesh with coordinating synthetic overlays and accents of strawberry pink and pale banana yellow near the top. Silver mirror finishes help maintain that classic early-2000s running aesthetic. Both come with an accompanying silver ice cream scoop toy, continuing the tiny detail on and off the shoe.
Brown mesh sets the “Chocolate” version apart, while silver overlays and the same pink and yellow accents connect it to the “Vanilla” colorway. This pair will be more limited. VANDYTHEPINK branding sits near the lateral heel, and the tongue tags feature the brand’s flower logo in two colors.
Both versions include alternate laces and special packaging built around the ice cream concept. The extras are playful, but they do not get in the way of the GEL-KAYANO 12.1’s layered shape and technical runner design.
The VANDYTHEPINK x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 “Ice Cream” Pack releases August 8, 2026, through VANDYTHEPINK, ASICS, and select retailers.
