The Whitaker Group has two New Balance 2010 colorways coming as part of its “Willful Bias For Identity” collection. Both use frayed suede and exposed stitching, with cream and earthy pink on one pair and grey and purple on the other.

Cream mesh sits underneath the pink suede overlays, while a grey midsole finishes that pair. The purple version uses grey mesh and a cream midsole. Both feature orange accents on the N logos, along with unfinished edges that give the uppers a worn appearance.

Previous Willful Bias releases have covered discovery, education, and community. This collection focuses on identity, with photographers Antiisoulcial and Nuku bringing their own backgrounds into the campaign. Antiisoulcial incorporates flowers and references to Southern Black culture into his studio work. Nuku photographs the sneakers around a restaurant counter and shared meal.
