German retailer The Good Will Out (TGWO) is hooking up with Saucony to release a special edition Shadow 5000 that’s inspired by the classic VHS (Video Home System).

This VHS-themed Saucony Shadow 5000 features a sleek Black-based upper built out of satin suede with smooth leather and mesh. Perforated suede leather tongue features a label with the TGWO script logo and the transparent eyelets represent spools of the tape. On the side of the heel you’ll find a debossed TGWO box logo. A TV test pattern color chart and a Metallic Silver VHSaucony logo rests atop the heel section. The mudguard of the right shoe features the classic control symbols of every video tape recorder: rewind, stop, pause, play, fast forward and record, whiet the eject symbol fits perfectly on the insole. Finally, the see through outsole was inspired by the TV screen and shows a mix of White noise and the TGWO script logo.

Look for the TGWO x Saucony Shadow 5000 “VHS” to release this Saturday, August 5th exclusively in-store at The Good Will Out with remaining stock available online. Adding to the theme, the first in store customers will get an original VHS tape featuring a real movie gem from the 80s.
