The adidas Superstar has moved between courts, streets, and culture for decades, and Sp5der’s latest take pushes that versatility in a darker direction. Following the January 2026 rollout of the collaboration, Young Thug’s imprint returns with another pair that feels more like a recalibration of an icon than a simple color swap.

Coated in high-gloss black patent leather, the Sp5der x adidas Superstar follows the same construction as the upcoming “Red/Black” release but leans into a cleaner, more uniform finish. A cracked, web-like embossing still ripples across the upper, bringing texture and depth to the otherwise mirror-like shell toe. The tonal black Three Stripes again sit slightly forward on the side panel, keeping that subtly altered profile while letting this pair read sharper and more streamlined overall.

Smaller details reward careful inspection rather than dominating the design. “555 555” text appears on the insole and is mirrored on the translucent outsole alongside Sp5der branding, quietly tying the story together beneath the foot. The padded tongue features embroidered “555” stitching, while the glossy serrated stripes keep the silhouette firmly anchored to classic Superstar DNA.
