This year marks the comeback of the iconic sneaker, the PUMA Clyde. Named after the legendary Walt “Clyde” Frazier, the first basketball player to have a sneaker named after him, the PUMA Clyde will forever be engrained in sports and pop culture history for decades to come.
Originally created in 1973 in an era when sports stars began to impressively impact on popular culture. It has maintained a strong presence throughout the changing times, being adopted as sneaker of choice by the hip hop stars, skateboarders, B-boys and musicians leading the punk movement of the 90s. Its many important cultural links and rich sports past makes it a revered staple for today’s sneaker collectors.
The PUMA Clyde Wraith Pack will be releasing in a shiny Black and Burgundy patent leather build that includes textured heel panels, Metallic side stripes, 3D tongue logos and Frazier’s jersey #10 on the heels.
Look for the pack to drop on September 30th exclusive at PUMA LAB by Foot Locker.
