The Nike Sabrina 3 “University Red” packs less contrast and more texture. Heavy weave across the red textile upper transitions from matte at the forefoot to semi-sheer across the midfoot for understated depth that doesn’t interrupt the look. Bold white swoosh slides across the lateral side in a lightly pebbled texture. The molded white midsole maintains the clean and streamlined silhouette. On the ground the lateral traction unit hugs the earth around a pop of translucent red at midfoot.

Quiet and toned down are probably the two words you’d use to describe this colorway. The shoe leans into a brighter washed sage on the exterior but transition into more of a muted olive green on the interior. This completely shifts the tone of the sneaker.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Light Spruce” stays in one lane with smooth leather across the toe, mudguard, and side panels. Darker plastic sits around the eyelets and heel, not as a bold contrast, just enough to add depth. The leather Swoosh blends into the upper instead of standing out.

Carrying over that muted finish, the midsole contrasts the transparent Air pocket where we can see the darker bubble engulfed within. Taking stock of the outsole, a deeper tone of Light Spruce is used on the bottom which complements the signature waffle pattern.

There’s a unique vibe to Los Angeles during All-Star Weekend when basketball fans flood the city from inside stadiums and arenas. Nike’s new SNKRS Maps Challenge encourages members to let basketball inspire their L.A. adventures by checking into select locations around the city.

Highlighted pins on an interactive map inside the SNKRS app will lead members to select destinations across Los Angeles. Acting as both a scavenger hunt and adventure guide, Nike’s new map challenge is simple by design, but encourages members to explore outside the typical hoops-related zones and venture beyond the calendar’s flurry of events and retail activations.

Members looking to take on Nike’s new adventure game will need to check in at three locations including Nike The Grove or Watts and conclude their journey at Crenshaw High School for exclusive SNKRS rewards. The challenge takes place Sat., Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is available on a first come, first serve basis until supplies run out.

In a quiet, low-key tease, Don C has revealed what appears to be the first chapter of a new partnership with NIGO’s label. The reveal arrives through close-up imagery rather than a formal campaign, suggesting the rollout is moving at his pace, not the industry’s.

Snakeskin is the connector throughout the Don C x BAPE STA. It appears on the textured print landing over the shooting star logo for both colorways. From there, the aesthetic of the collab takes flight. One features a navy nubuck upper with bright-blue Just Don stitching along the heel. The other transitions to crisp white leather for a cleaner, more minimalist feel. Both sneakers place co-branding on the midsole and tongue. However, it feels secondary to the story being told through materials.

Salehe Bembury makes his first impression on the New Balance 992 and second on a Made in USA effort. The timing also couldn’t be more perfect, given that the 992 keeps resurfacing as part of New Balance’s overall heritage initiative.

This marks Salehe Bembury’s first take on the New Balance 992 and only his second Made in USA project. Following his 990v2 from 2022, the approach again prioritizes texture, earth-driven color, and depth. The timing feels deliberate, especially as the 992 continues resurfacing under New Balance’s broader heritage push.
