During Christmas 2010, Nike Basketball released arguably their two best holiday-themed releases with the Kobe 6 and LeBron 8 V2.

The Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” features a Lime Green colorway recalling Dr. Suess’ infamous holiday grouch, the Grinch. However, the shoe itself was actually inspired by the Green Mamba, a colorful take on Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba nickname. It features a snakeskin-textured upper to further play to that inspiration, while having Varsity Red contrasting accents to give off Christmas vibes. During Christmas 2022, Nike would update the beloved colorway by releasing a Kobe 6 Protro version.

LeBron James debuted the Nike LeBron 8 V2 “Christmas” on Christmas Day 2010, when the Miami Heat played against the Los Angeles Lakers. The shoe features a Sport Red upper with Flywire cables along the side panels for added support. Additional details includes Victory Green laces, an oversized tongue, White Swooshes atop a Black and White speckled midsole equipped with a full-length visible Air unit.

The Nike KD 3 “Christmas” was part of the Nike Basketball 2010 Collection, which strayed away from traditional holiday colors.

Dressed in a Vibrant Yellow, Photo Blue, and Team Orange color scheme. This offering of Kevin Durant’s KD 3 features a Yellow upper and matching midsole with a translucent outsole. Its vibrant look is complemented with Bright Blue branding on the tongue, heel, Swoosh, and Flywire panels.

Originally released in 2004, the Nike LeBron 2 will be re-releasing for the first time ever in 2022 in a handful of color options.

One of the debut colorways was the classic Black, Red, and White pair. The Zoom LeBron 2 features a ballistic mesh upper with premium leather overlays and a robust ankle strap atop a double-stacked Zoom Air unit. Signature details include a contrast Swoosh over the strap and layered “LJ23” and King James lion logos.

Kith x Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYC Away” Releases Tomorrow

Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and Nike Sportswear will be expanding their partnership with two more Air Force 1 colorways during the 2020 Fall season.

One pair comes dressed in “Black/Team Orange-Black-Rush Blue” and the other sports a “White/Rush Blue-White-Brilliant Orange” makeup. Both feature Black and White leather uppers with mismatched semi-translucent TPU Swoosh logos, Kith branding on the tongue tags, rear “NYC” embroidery, Metallic Gold dubraes atop a White midsole and icy translucent outsole.

UPDATE 12/24/21: Kith and the New York Knicks have teamed up to release the second installment of the Kith Air Force 1 collection, along with matching apparel.

The campaign for the collection, which was shot at Madison Square Garden, stars the iconic New York group, The Lox, which features Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch.

Kith worked with Nike and the Knicks to create a second installment of the Knicks’ iconic jersey, which pays tribute to both the Knicks and Madison Square Garden. The off-court apparel offering depicts the Kith and Nike logos in the Blue and Orange color palette for the New York Knicks.

The footwear component of the capsule consists of the Kith x Nike Air Force 1 Low “New York 2.0” in a Black colorway. This model features a premium Black pebbled leather upper atop White sole units and translucent outsoles.

Look for the Kith x Nike for New York Knicks collection to release tomorrow, December 25th at all Kith shops and at 11AM EST on Kith.com.
