FC Barcelona x Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro Releases July 31st

UPDATE 7/29/25: The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low Protro “FC Barcelona” will release on July 31st via SNKRS.

Original Story 7/21/25:
Nike is blending legacy with a global flair on its next launch: the Kobe Bryant x FC Barcelona x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro in a “Persian Violet” colorway.

Kobe’s influence in basketball is undisputed, but he was also a lifelong soccer fan with a special love for the Spanish club, FC Barcelona. The Air Force 1 Low captures both elements with a faux snakeskin upper in a rich purple. The rich hue and tone nod to Kobe’s favored colorways as well as the kits worn by FC Barcelona’s alternate kit.

Black patent leather Swooshes add contrast and flair to the silhouette and branding for FC Barcelona is placed on the tongue and insole. Personal touches from Kobe include his signature on the midsole, a Mamba logo printed on the heel, and a lace tag adorned with the Protro logo, blending elements from basketball and soccer in one intentional release.

JJJJound x Salomon XT-6 Collection Releases August 7th

UPDATE 7/29/25: Salomon and JJJJound have officially announced their XT-6 collaboration, confirming both the Black/Red and Blue/Yellow colorways previously teased over recent weeks. The JJJJound x Salomon XT-6 releases Thursday, August 7th at 9 AM ET on JJJJound.com, followed by a 10 AM ET release on Salomon.com (US only). A global release via Salomon and select retailers will follow on August 8th.

Original Story 7/21/25:
JJJJound, the Montreal-based design studio, continues its collaboration with Salomon for 2025. After working with the brand on the XT-Wings 2 in 2023, the studio is back, working on a fresh update to the XT-6 silhouette, available in two colorways. Continuing the trend of outdoor-lifestyle crossovers, this upcoming collaboration updates Salomon’s XT-6 with a modern edge.

The first colorway presents a relatively muted take on the silhouette, combining black and charcoal grey with pops of red, and featuring branding from JJJJound on the lateral heel. The second pack ups the ante with an athletic-inspired take on the model. In this take, the mesh upper is rendered in royal blue with yellow overlays, red branding from both Salomon and JJJJound and a high-tech sensibility. Visually, the pack is inspired by vintage performance, but has the performance technology of a modern trail running shoe.

While these aesthetics play into an urban-ready aesthetic, both colorways are outfitted with Salomon’s classic performance technologies. This includes the XT-6’s Quicklace system, SensiFit overlays, tough toecap, and EndoFit upper construction to keep your foot locked in place. These touches, along with the brand’s logos on the tongue pull tab and heel keep branding to a minimum.

Worn by Kevin Durant at the 2014 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, the “Illusion” dropped as part of the brand’s colorful “NOLA Gumbo League” pack. Sporting an abstract graphic upper that was inspired by Durant’s game being difficult to read for opponents, it features a mint green glow-in-the-dark outsole, along with other accents like metallic touches, premium overlays, and KD’s logo on the heel.

Arriving as Nike continues to relaunch popular All-Star drops, the “Illusion” retro once again shines a spotlight on the brand’s performance-obsessed glory days. Air Jordan 13 Low “He Got Game” Releases Summer 2026

Jordan Brand is revisiting the legendary “He Got Game” colorway this time on the Air Jordan 13 Low for the very first time, which will release Summer 2026. First debuted back in 1997 as a high-top, the upcoming silhouette updates the original colorway in a low-cut design.

The Air Jordan 13 Low “He Got Game” continues the OG White, Black, and True Red color scheme that made the 1997 release an all-time classic. Expect a base of white tumbled leather uppers with the signature dimples, black suede overlays, and black leather toe box. Red accents will be featured along the outsole, giving the shoe its pop of contrast. A metallic Jumpman logo is on the heel and a red Jumpman is stitched into the tongue.

Coincidentally named after the classic Spike Lee film He Got Game that dropped in 1998 (in which the silhouette was worn by Denzel Washington), this upcoming release is sure to stir up culture as well as new fans.

While we were originally led to believe the upcoming release was a mid-top from early reports, Sneaker Files and zsneakerheadz have confirmed that the low-top is the silhouette expected to drop instead. There were also some rumblings that the colorway may have been swapped for a different one, but this is the colorway we expect from the release at this time.

A shoe strongly rooted in Jordan Brand and basketball film history, the “He Got Game” AJ13 Low will be a mix of nostalgia and new life.

Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “Wolf Grey” Honors Mamba Mentality

August 24th is Mamba Day and Nike has some strategically placed drops coming to honor Kobe Bryant. One sneaker they’ve prepared is the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “Wolf Grey”. An all-around muted colorway, this simple nod to the Mamba’s work ethic and dedication to perfection is a detail-heavy yet subdued release.

This Kobe 9 EM Low Protro keeps things simple and to the original’s design in Wolf Grey, White, and Pure Platinum. A mesh upper constructed from Engineered Mesh, Flywire lacing, and low-cut silhouette help keep the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro breathable and nimble. A drop-in React foam midsole adds comfort and responsiveness in place of the Lunarlon foam used on the original. Kobe’s sheath logo embroidered on the tongue along with his signature and “Obsession” stitched in the collar, complete the story of the Mamba Mentality.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM Low debuted in 2014 and was one of the most lightweight and versatile sneakers in the Black Mamba’s collection. This “Wolf Grey” edition keeps to the Mamba Mentality with a few subtle improvements under the hood to comfort and performance.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro “Wolf Grey” is a sneaker that for hoops heads or Kobe fans is a detail-heavy yet understated pair of kicks. It screams Kobe without screaming. While this may not be the first colorway you reach for, it is one you can easily slip on and remember the Mamba’s grind.

Nike KD 6 “Night Vision” Returns June 2026

Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 6 line is making history in 2026 with its first-ever Retro run, led by the return of the Nike KD 6 Night Vision. Originally released during the tail end of the KD 6 era, this fan-favorite colorway stood out for its stealthy inspiration and bold detailing.

“The “Night Vision” draws inspiration from tactical night gear,” Nike explained in a release. “A black synthetic upper is accented by bright green hits and pixelated speckles that mimic infrared goggles, while a pixelated forefoot Swoosh and KD heel logo add visual references to digital overlays. Bright Mango is used to contrast the visible Air unit, while rounded laces mimic utility rope.”

Released in 2014, the colorway was often overlooked at the time but quickly grew in popularity with KD fans after Durant transitioned to the KD 7. A year later, it’s safe to say the return was a no-brainer — both for those who gravitated to this silhouette at its peak and newer sneakerheads who overlooked the shoe in favor of other KD silhouettes at the time.

Fans can also expect to see several other fan-favorite KD 6 colorways make a comeback in 2026, including KD 6 “Peanut Butter and Jelly” and KD 6 “All-Star”. In the meantime, the KD 18 “Aunt Pearl” is also on its way, which will arrive later this Holiday 2025.
