New Balance is adding to their 9060 lineup with this new “December Sky” colorway for the summer months. The shoe itself takes elements sourced from classic 99X models with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the Y2K era.

Dressed in a December Sky, Sea Salt, and Concrete color scheme. This offering of the New Balance 9060 comes constructed in a mix of mesh, pigskin suede, and leather materials. It features a Light Grey hue covering majority of its upper with a darker shade used on the overlays and “N” logos. A two-tone dual-density midsole with ABZORB and SBS cushioning atop a Grey diamond outsole pattern inspired by classic 860 completes the design.

Nike LeBron 20 “FAMU” Pack Releases June 16th

Florida A&M University Athletics (FAMU) and Nike Basketball kicked off their six-year partnership back in 2021 with an exclusive LeBron 18 PE. Most recently, FAMU received a few LeBron 20 PEs along with a “Green” and “Black” colorways of the LeBron 7. For 2023, FAMU and The Whitaker Group-owned retailer APB are set to release two colorways of the LeBron 20 heading into the summer season.

One pair comes dressed in Peach Cream, Safety Orange, Stadium Green, Coconut Milk, and Black, while the other sports a Coconut Milk, Electric Algae, Vivid Orange, Sesame, Mica Green, and Phantom color blocking.

Both FAMU x APB x Nike LeBron 20 colorways feature a reptile textile upper with snakeskin textured and tumbled leather double-stacked Swooshes on the lateral. Other details includes “All Points Bulletin” debossed text on the right tongues nodding to the school, Green exposed stitching, “A&M” heel patches, and FAMU’s snake and APB logos stamped onto the insoles. A two-tone foam midsole and monochromatic rubber outsole completes the design. Each pair will come housed in co-branded packaging. The shoes will be available exclusively in men’s sizing.

New Balance debuted the 550 back in 1989 as a basketball shoe. After its initial run, the 550 was filed away in the archives, before being reintroduced in limited-edition releases in late 2020, and would finally return to the full-time lineup in 2021, quickly becoming a global fashion favorite. Adding to its lineup for the summer months is this new “White/Green” (Vintage Teal) colorway.

This offering of the New Balance 550 comes constructed in a mix of leather, mesh, and pigskin suede materials with perforations on the sides. It features a White base with Light Grey overlays up front and on the collars. Highlighting the shoe are Green contrasting accents including the New Balance and “550” branding along with White “N” logos. A White midsole atop a Green rubber outsole completes the design.

One of Kobe Bryant’s most popular silhouettes, the Kobe 8, will be making its return in Protro form during Summer/Fall 2023. One of the first pairs to release will be the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Triple White” colorway in celebration of Kobe Day, 8/24.

Designed by Eric Avar and was debuted for 2012-2013 season. Much like the Kobe 7, the Kobe 8 also debuted in a “System” version. It was the shoe he wore when he tore his Achilles and walked to the free-throw line to hit two clutch free throws on one leg.

Dressed in an all-White color blocking. This offering of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro comes constructed with an engineered mesh upper, no-sew synthetic overlays and pebble-grain leather around the collar and heels. Other details includes embroidered Swooshes and Kobe logos on the tongues with a plastic heel counter for stability and Black midfoot shank plate. A full-length Lunarlon midsole and Zoom Air cushioning completes the design. The shoes will also be available in mens, grade school, and preschool sizing.

Coming fresh off a pair of Shmoofoil colorways, Mark Gonzales will also be releasing a new “Core Black” colorway of his signature Aloha Super silhouette for the summer months. Back in December 2022, the shoe was released in a “Scarlet Red” colorway dubbed, Chair Fight.

Wales Bonner x adidas SS23 Footwear Collection Releases June 9th

Grace Wales Bonner, founder of London-based menswear label Wales Bonner, has become one of the most promising newcomers in the world of fashion. As a follow up to their Spring/Summer 2022 collection, the London-born fashion designer will be reuniting with adidas once again for an upcoming Wales Bonner x Adidas FW23 footwear collection.

This season sees Bonner returning to the classic adidas Samba and SL72 running shoe silhouettes the were both featured in the FW20 and SS22 drops. The Samba is crafted in full leather covered in a reflective gunmetal finish with decorative-stitched Three Stripes branding on the sides and heel badge. Its oversized tongues nods to the retro soccer boots while sitting atop an Earthy Brown rubber sole.

The SL72 Knit will be available in two color options. They both feature a knitted upper with suede overlays and premium leather tongues, heels, and inner lining for an extra premium touch. One is dressed in Green with Yellow contrasting accents, while the other comes in a Brown with Burnt Orange accents. All three pairs come with Wales Bonner branding on the lateral heel, insoles, and co-branding packaging.
