Nike SB’s highly speculated collaboration with the Air Force 1 appears to be gaining traction. After initial leaks surfaced in late 2024, fans were left wondering if the crossover would truly bring something new. But now, skateboarding icon Eric Koston has sparked fresh excitement by skating what looks to be an early sample of the rumored SB Air Force 1.
In the latest footage, Koston is seen wearing a sleek, all-black pair while cruising through a ledge-heavy session. While subtle in appearance, this prototype aligns with typical wear-test colorways. The silhouette stays true to the Air Force 1’s familiar shape, but insiders suggest major under-the-hood upgrades.
Expected updates include reinforced overlays, enhanced cushioning for impact absorption, and improved traction—performance tech seen in recent SB hits like the SB Jordan 4 and SB Air Max 95.
Although Nike has yet to confirm details, sources hint that the Nike SB x Air Force 1 will arrive in Spring 2026. It’s likely to release through select skate shops and Nike.com, aligning with how Nike SB typically launches limited performance drops.
With Eric Koston involved in early testing, the collaboration carries serious credibility. Skate and sneaker communities alike will be watching closely as development continues.
