Sneaker Talk: Let’s Talk – Air Jordan 10 White/Varsity Red

The Air Jordan 10 Retro White/Varsity Red – Light Steel Grey came into the sneaker game back on September 17th, 2005 retailed at $125. Taking on a White leather upper, with Varsity Red being seen on the ankle, lacing, and tongue; while Steel Grey appears on the lacing hoops with both Red and Grey hitting the checkered pattern inner lining, and outsole. Another aspect of the shoe featured a list of Michael Jordan’s accomplishments since 1993 (which was the year he retired), that includes the word “Beyond” next to the year 1994. The purpose of those features came from Nike and Tinker Hatfield, which thought this was it for Mike during his retirement to play baseball. What makes these really interesting was that MJ and Tinker never saw eye-to-eye on the design, which later lead to the most popular sneaker to-date, the Air Jordan 11.

With multiple Air Jordan 10 release this year, were you disappointed these never got retro’d? Did you happen to grab your pair back in ’05 with the appealing price tag of $125? If you said yes to the first question and no to the second, would you love for Jordan Brand to bring these back? Lastly, where do these rank amongst the full colorways of the Air Jordan 10?
