adidas EQT Elevation – “Draft Day Hornets”

What if the Charlotte Hornets never traded Kobe Bryant? While we can never guess how that would have turned out there is one thing I can guarantee that this is what the adidas EQT Elevation would have looked like back in 1997. Instead Kobe Bryant has had and still is having a great career for the LA Lakers.

Now that Kobe’s first unofficial signature shoe pays tribute to one of the most craziest trades in NBA history. The shoe features a teal base with snake skin details representing Kobe nickname “Black Mamba”. The 3 strips are purple and black covers the tongue. The holographic heel tabs feature the numbers 8 and 13 for Kobe’s number and position where he was drafter respectfully. Teal, purple and white also covers the outsole.

Still with out an official release date let us know how you feel about these in the comments and stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates.

Jordan Son of Mars Low “White Cement” Detailed Images

The Air Jordan Son of Mars Low will release this weekend in a signature colorway sneakerheads have loved for decades. Borrowing elements from the Retro IV, this Jordan fusion was eventually going to use the iconic cement colorway on the IV’s midsole. The cement midsole sits below elephant print overlays from the Retro III, combining two of the most celebrated designs from Jordan Brand. The silhouette of the Retro VI dominates the rest of the upper while the tongue from the Retro V shows off the red Jumpman logo. A couple of small features that make this truly a Spike Lee/Mars Blackmon sneaker are the “Mars” labeled deubre and the image of Mars on the lace lock section.

The Air Jordan Son of Mars Low “White/Cement” drops this Saturday, June 22nd at House of Hoops by Foot Locker, Foot Locker and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $140. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release and check out more photos below.
