With the success of the Free-Inspired Nike TW’13, Nike Golf was inspired to expand the choices for men and create a new style for women. Freedom of movement with maximum ground feel is crucial to the golf athlete and Free-Inspired outsole technology provides that benefit. Available August 1, 2013, the FI Impact provides the flexibility to unleash the full power of an athlete’s swing.
Just as Tiger Woods’ insights helped pave the way for the first Free-Inspired golf shoe, Suzann Pettersen has now teamed up with Nike designers to develop the first Free-Inspired footwear for women, the Nike FI Impact. Pettersen came to Nike WHQ for footwear testing at the Nike Sport’s Research Lab (NSRL) in August of 2012. She had always been an advocate for traditionally spiked shoes, but realized quickly she could harness as much power without the removable spikes. Nike designers set to work to create a Nike Free-Inspired shoe to meet her athletic needs, incorporating technology from the successful Nike TW’13 footwear.
“We collaborated closely with Pettersen to create a shoe fit for her game,” said Lee Walker, Nike Golf’s Footwear Product Director. “The FI Impact allows her to get the transfer of energy her game demands, proving even a swing as powerful as Pettersen’s can utilize the performance of Integrated Traction.”
In her first tournament round in the footwear at the LPGA LOTTE Championship, Pettersen carded an impressive 65, charging on with four under-par rounds to win the tournament.
“After I tried them once, I was dying to get them on my feet in competition,” expressed Pettersen. “I can really feel the ground and the increase in power through my swing.”
The Nike Free-Inspired outsole of the Nike FI Impact is designed to mimic and conform to the natural motion of the foot while delivering all the protection and traction of a lightweight performance golf shoe. This allows the athlete to keep contact with the ground longer, better harnessing the energy of the foot to the shoe and, therefore, the shoe to the ground. For Pettersen’s explosive swing, this means more control and power with every shot.
The men’s version of the FI Impact also utilizes the Nike Dynamic Fit system to help harness the foot to provide the support athletes demand. A Nike Free-Inspired platform and waterproof mesh upper offer increased flexibility with breathability to keep feet cool, dry and comfortable.

adidas today unveils a new colorway of the D Rose 3.5 signature shoe designed exclusively for the Chicago Bulls superstar by iconic fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
“I can’t thank Jeremy enough for creating this shoe,” said Rose. “I love sneakers and to have Jeremy take his time to create a shoe for me is crazy. This shoe is so cool, and having a chance to meet with Jeremy and talk about how he comes up with some of his designs was really fun.”
The two met in Los Angeles on June 27, where Jeremy presented Derrick with the first pair of the limited edition shoes that will launch at select retailers across globe beginning July 6.
“I really wanted to meld my world and Derrick’s world,” said Jeremy Scott. “I used his shoes as a canvas and created the coolest cherubs in the world for this shoe.”
The shoe features a clean, white full synthetic patent leather upper with printed detailed cherubs in various poses and positions with different accessories. The shoe features the D Rose logo in black on the outside of the tongue, and the Jeremy Scott logo on back of the tongue and sockliner.
The D Rose 3.5 x JS limited edition will be available for $225 on July 6th, 20 13 at the following retailers:

The launch dates in Europe will coincide with the D Rose Tour July 4-16 where Derrick will visit the adidas World Headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany and continues with visits to Milan, Italy; Belgrade, Serbia; Zagreb, Croatia; London, England; Paris, France and Madrid, Spain.

The Nike KD VI NSW “Birthday” will release in North America only on August 17th, 2013 for $120. The inspiration comes from a photo of Kevin celebrating his birthday with his Mom and Aunt, who all happen to have birthdays very close to each other, the model features a light denim over the upper with a polka dot pattern to match the shirt KD was wearing in the picture.

The Nike KD VI NSW “People’s Champ” is inspired by the down to earth attitude displayed by Kevin Durant the shoe features plaid over the tongue which transcends a dark denim upper. Along with that you will find metal d-ring eyelets, round laces, and brown nubuck on the medial quarter pane. These will be available world wide on October 5th, 2013 for $120.

If you can recall the previous “Tennis Ball” Nike Zoom Revis model we shared a couple weeks ago, if so happens that the “Tennis Ball” colorway is a collab with Sole Collector. The Sole Collector x Nike Zoom Revis features a Tennis Ball-like colored base with White and Black detailing finished with Sole Collector branding throughout. Before the Nike KD VI arrived there was another KD model that came up. The Nike KD Trey 5 is a shoe that never touched the states and dropped exclusively in Asia. With that being said, we take a look at another colorway of the shoe this time in blue/white/grey-orange colorway. With the release of Gary Payton’s signature Nike Zoom Flight ’98 The Glove retro coming this year we take a look at a shoe which was rocked later in GP’s career with the Lakers during his stint with Jordan Brand.
