The Air Jordan 5 Retro was the go-to model for Will Smith during the credits to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Jordan Brand decided to use the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as inspiration to their upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro “Bel-Air”.

After weeks of preview images we finally have the first detailed look at the upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro “Bel-Air” model. Featuring a Grey base with vibrant color accents as well as a unique pattern on the inner liner inspired by the colorful fashion Will rocked in his episodes. The Philadelphia 76ers used their #1 Draft Pick to select, Allen Iverson. Inspired by the ’96 Draft, Reebok Classic will be releasing a special Reebok Question “#1 Draft Pick” in honor of Iverson’s success he had with the Sixers. LeBron James and the Miami Heat took home their second NBA title in a row this season, and now Nike Basketball is commemorating that historic feat by releasing the second edition of the Nike LeBron X “Championship Pack” this Saturday, August 10th. The pack consists of the two limited edition LeBron X kicks. The first is the red, black and gold PS ELITE version worn by King James in Game 1 of the Finals series and features a glossy red upper with subtle geometric palm-leaf graphics, a speckled midsole and gold Swoosh designs. The sock-liners are imprinted with “2-time champion” on the left and “11-12, 12-13″ on the right. The Air Max LeBron X Low boasts a unique floral palm splatter print along with matte black accents and a glow-in-the-dark outsole. The shoes are packaged in a special double box, of course in championship gold, as well as two black and gold commemorative LeBron X shoe bags. Before the Nike Kobe line Kobe’s signature shoe was the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4. Today, we flashback in time and take a look at a sample of the Mamba’s old shoe.

Dependable jay said: “Here is a little Kobe heat for you guys! Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 Looksee Samples from 2003. Early 2K4 samples incorporated Kobe’s #8 in several locations on the shoe. This particular promo pair has blue suede on the toe box and heal areas. Suede swooshes as well! A unique pair without question, enjoy the pics!”

There were some great colorways of the 2k4 and this pair is no different.

To celebrate the re-release of the adidas Mutombo, the “House of Mutombo” video series presents an illustrated and animated history of basketball legend Dikembe Mutombo. The videos feature paper cut illustrations from Nathan McKee, animation by Jamal Qutub, and music from PJ Portlock. With three episodes and an additional “making of” video clip, the “House of Mutombo” is bigger than you think.

Nike LeBron 9 “Death Proof” Custom

As a special tribute to Quentin Tarantino’s incredible slasher action thriller, Death Proof, District Customs designs two pairs of Nike LeBron 9 “Death Proof” Custom.

He picked the away Nike LeBron 9 Elite as the base for Stuntman Mike’s charger because he felt like the carbon fiber and the more bulky upper of the elite fit the body of the charger. The regular Nike LeBron 9 was finished with a pearlized/candy yellow gloss coat and a red interior with yellow accents again to match Kim’s Mustang. The elite was finished with a matte black upper and blood splatter all over the inner toe panels, and Stuntman Mike’s lightning-skull hood logo. To top it off he went to his local engraver and got a hangtag based off of the duck hood ornament on Mike’s charger and custom engraved labels for the box.

Both Nike LeBron 9 “Death Proof” Custom comes with a special custom wooden box that was handbuilt with precision by master craftsman, Chris Bransome. He painted the exterior and the “hood” lids to match those of the 1972 Ford Mustang Grande driven by the foxy and bad ass, Kim, and the 1960 Dodge Charger driven by the psychopathic, Stuntman Mike.

The interior of the box was upholstered with natural, custom painted leather and leather piping by a local family upholsterer which perfectly resembled the leather interiors of the two beautiful muscle cars from the movie! Also under the charger hood lid are two “roll bars” to represent the roll cage in Stuntman Mike’s car.
