Last night, LeBron James was back rocking the Nike LeBron 11 “Heat Home” PE for the entire game, something he has yet to do all season. This Nike LeBron 11 PE featured a White/Red-Black color scheme which LeBron James had one of his best games this season. In honor of the adidas Mutombo 20th anniversary, adidas Originals will be releasing a black and white colorway of the signature shoe on December 14, 2013.

The Mutombo signature basketball shoe was originally released by adidas during the 1992-93 NBA Season. Traditional African patterns are used throughout the shoe and the iconic shield logo incorporates his jersey number, used throughout his 18 year NBA career. This third addition to the re-launch of the retro Mutombo silhouette, like the first in the series, is an original colorway.

The intricate craftsmanship of a wristwatch inspired Nike designer Leo Chang while creating the Nike KD VI. The small details were obsessed, with the performance attributes and aesthetics made to work in tandem.

Like KD’s game, the details matter. Whether it’s footwork precision or his sharpshooting from 30-feet, Durant is a student of the game who recognizes that small, fundamental details can make him a better player.

The KD VI Precision Timing colorway brings clockwork details to life. The upper features radial machining lines, which mimic fine wristwatch detailing, that are reflective. The Swoosh and KD logo are show micro machining marks. Metallic silver and gold throughout the shoe further the clockwork storytelling, with mint accents setting off the shoe.

The numbers ‘35’ and ‘6’ are hidden in the secret logo on the shoe’s tongue—intricacy designed by Chang himself.

The KD VI Precision Timing launches in limited quantities on Dec. 7 at select retail locations and Nike.com.
