Sneaker Talk: Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”

The Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” originally released back in 1988, and later retroed three times before in 2001, 2009 – which was a Europe only release, and the most recent launch in 2011.

Focusing on the 2011 Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” release, the shoe was dressed in the original color scheme of White/True Blue. The shoe features a full White tumbled leather upper, with Cement Grey detailing and True Blue accents throughout with minor hints of Red.

The shoe became famous when Michael Jordan made his second comeback to the NBA to join the Washington Wizards. Even Kobe Bryant enjoyed the “True Blue” Air Jordan 3 as he wore them during the 2003 NBA All-Star Game.

While the Air Jordan 3 is collecting dust in the Jordan Brand vault. Whenever they decided to bring them back, would the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” be a retro release you’d like to see return again? For those that attending the launch in London at the adidas Originals store received a special treat as Kanye West was in the building for the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost release on Saturday morning.

Ye joined the madness of his release and even personally passed out a few pairs to shoppers. This looks to be a common thing as Kanye did the same thing for when the 750 Boost dropped back in February.

The latest Nike Air Huarache to release happens to be another women’s exclusive release in this uncommon makeup.

Having dressed in a full Mulberry-based upper that is built with a tonal faux leather overlay to the toe box and lace area. The shoe rests atop a White detailed midsole that includes the shoe’s traditional heel strap with debossed Nike branding and tonal stitching detailing. Touches of Blue on the Huarache tongue logo finishes off the look.

The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Low was first spotted during the YEEZY Season 1 Fashion Show, and now we finally get a detailed look at the Yeezy 350 Boost Low.

This low-top version of the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost, dubbed 350 Boost Low is constructed with a Grey-melange Primeknit through the one-piece upper that includes canvas detailing on the heel tab. Other details include a Black leather circle with the “YZY” imprint, all sitting atop a Boost cushioning that provides for a comfortable ride.

This Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” design is inspired by the broken backboard from Michael Jordan’s dunk in a Nike exhibition game played in Italy in 1985.

Jordan Brand is referencing that moment with a special edition Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG edition that sports the colors of the jersey Michael Jordan was wearing while playing in the game.

This “Shattered Backboard” edition of the iconic Air Jordan 1 features a premium leather build dressed in a mixture of Black, Starfish, and Sail color scheme. It also features a graphic insole that references MJ’s Airness, a glass-shattering backboard.

This Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Red Paisley” version of the Nike LeBron 12 is the latest colorway from Nike Basketball that is set to release later this year.

The “Red Paisley” version of the EXT-edition of the Nike LeBron 12 is dressed in a full Black and Red color scheme that is designed with some unique features. Covering the entire upper is a full paisley design that covers a University Red velvet upper. Black suede overlay with Metallic Silver Nike Swoosh logo, Metallic Gold hitting the lace dubraes and branding finishes off the look, while resting atop a clean icy translucent outsole. The Nike Sock Dart “Be True” #BETRUE first surfaced as a reported brand new Nike Sock Dart “Grape” colorway, but actually it was a NikeLab special edition “Be True” release.

The Nike #BeTrue Sock Dart celebrates the potential of all athletes with a vibrant blend of Nike heritage, NikeLab innovation, and #BeTrue markings.

This #BETRUE edition of the Nike Sock Dart features a full Black mesh upper, White Nike Swoosh branding on the tongue, and a clean White midsole. The highlight of this design is the multicolored translucent mid-foot strap, and a rainbow pattern insole that is printed with the #BETRUE has tag and NikeLab.

Proceeds from the sales of the upcoming #BETRUE collection will go to the LGBT Sports Coalition to support the goal of ending discrimination in sport.
