Release Report: What’s Dropping This Weekend

Talk about a loaded weekend of releases that’s really dominated by adidas, Nike and Jordan Brand as we roll into October.

Thursday was a strong day as adidas and Pharrell dropped five special editions of the adidas Hu NMD.

Riding on that adidas hype, Saturday is offering a handful of adidas NMD releases from the NMD_R1 and the NMD_XR1. The Three Stripes also celebrates the 10th Anniversary of Dennis Busenitz with a celebrated adidas Busenitz Pure Boost.

Nike Basketball adds their “Black Space” Collection that includes the LeBron Soldier 10, Kobe 11 and KD 9, along with a “Camo” LeBron Soldier 10 and a “University Red” dubbed, “Hard Work” KD 9.

But Saturday truly belongs to Jordan Brand. Not only with the release of the “Wool” Air Jordan 12, but for the highly anticipated collaborative OVO Air Jordan 12 release.

The classic adidas EQT Support ADV features a Black neoprene upper with leather panels and a translucent Camouflage pattern on the heel support. The Black base is offset with Cream-like Three Stripes and accents on the toughen. The EQT is also branded on the lace cage as a nice final touch.

PUMA has officially announced The Weeknd as a new Global Brand ambassador and creative collaborator.

The Academy Award nominated musician will be the headliner to PUMA’s “Run the Streets” Spotystyle campaign, which launches in November. The Weeknd will be debuting PUMA’s newest products such as the IGNITE evoKNIT and Evo apparel.

This Air Jordan 3 Russell Westbrook OKC PE was debuted by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s point guard back on January 11th, 2013 vs Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers.

The Thunder-themed Air Jordan 3 features a Black leather upper with elephant print overlays, along with Blue and Orange detailing. Yellow contrasting accents colors the Jordan Brand branding throughout.

While wearing this player exclusive, Westbrook put up 27 points and dished out 10 assists while pulling down 7 rebounds in a 116-101 Thunder victory.

Only 10 pairs exist, which four of them were given to Westbrook and all remaining pairs to friends and family members.
