Nike adidas Under Armour Will Not Sign Lonzo Ball

Nike, Adidas and Under Armour have officially announced that they’re not interested in signing potential lottery pick Lonzo Ball to an endorsement deal. According to ESPN, Ball’s father, LaVar, confirmed that the three shoe and apparel brands informed him that they were not interested in completing a deal with his son.

In his meetings with all three companies, LaVar insisted that they license his upstart Big Baller Brand from him. He also showed the companies a shoe prototype that he hoped would be Lonzo’s first shoe.

“We’ve said from the beginning, we aren’t looking for an endorsement deal. We’re looking for co-branding, a true partner. But they’re not ready for that because they’re not used to that model. But hey, the taxi industry wasn’t ready for Uber, either.” – LaVar Ball

Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo Releasing Again Tomorrow

The Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo officially debuted this morning selling out instantly, while the Japan release goes down this Saturday. For those that may have tried to scoop up one of the three Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo colorways and got unlucky, it’s looking like you’ll have another shot at them. Official images of the collaboration has been uploaded on Nike’s server, which indicates that the release will becoming available soon on Nike.com.

Available in Metallic Gold/White, Black/White, and Varsity Red/White, each release come with two set of branded laces, “SUP” replacing the “AIR” lettering, branded insoles and 3M Reflective detailing.

As of right now, Nike has yet to confirm an online release, but don’t be surprise if one goes down very soon. Be sure to stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates as they develop.

UPDATE: The Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo in all three colorways will release again on Saturday, April 29th at 12PM EST on Nike.com.

Air Jordan x Converse Pack Releases in June

Jordan Brand and Converse are set to release their first-ever Air Jordan x Converse Pack on June 28th, 2017. Back in 2012, Jordan Brand and Converse teamed up for a special edition collaboration that was limited to 23 Packs, which were all auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the James R. Jordan Foundation. The shoe of choice back then was a UNC-inspired Converse Pro Leather with Jumpman branding. But for this pack, you can expect an official retail release.

It is unclear on which Air Jordan model it will be, but according to @J23app, he suggest it could be the Air Jordan 2 “Alumni Game” PE that has already been leaked.

While we wait for more details, you can expect the Jordan Converse Pack to release on June 28th at select Jordan Brand retailers. The retail price tag is set at $300 USD.

Bo Jackson’s Nike Air Trainer SC High Auburn inspired by his alma mater has officially returned unexpectedly for 2017. The last time the “Auburn” colorway of the Nike Air Trainer SC High released was back in Spring 2013. Making them available again during the NFL offseason is perfect timing.

Dressed in its original White, Light Zen Grey and Total Orange color scheme as a nod to the University of Auburn. This Nike Air Trainer SC High features a White perforated leather upper with Grey overlays and highlighted by Orange and Purple accents.

adidas Originals is brining back the classic 90s running design, the EQT Racing 91 women’s silhouette for the month of May in two new colorways. This time around, the shoe will receive a full Primeknit construction coming dressed in your choice of Haze Colar and/or Mystery Blue. It’s a release that presents pure 90s sportswear style in its purest, most authentic form.

A full Primeknit construction covers the upper structured with engineered Three Stripes. Woven paneling maintains the original lines of the EQT Racing 91, whilst the shoe’s essential cut-out midfoot section is retained in full, placed atop a classic EVA midsole.

Kobe Bryant’s All-White Air Jordan Retro Collection Up For Auction

To celebrate Kobe Bryant’s retirement from the NBA, Jordan Brand gave the Black Mamba his own Air Jordan Kobe Bryant Collection. One of the collections that were designed was this Air Jordan Kobe White Pack that includes a full set of Air Jordan Retros from 1-30 all donning an all-White upper with some having icy translucent outsoles.

Today, Heritage Auctions announces that they’ll be auctioning off the this Air Jordan Kobe Bryant Collection, which came from a private seller in California. Proceeds from the sales will go to Make-A-Wish foundation.

The estimate worth of the collection is listed at $200,000 and up. Bidding begins on May 22nd and will end on June 11th.

The Air Jordan 1 OG Metallic Red will be making a retro return as part of Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 1 lineup for 2017. This time, it’ll include “Nike Air” branding just like the original release.

For those that can remember, the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Red” returned back in 2009, but that release wasn’t true to its original look. It lacked the beloved “Nike Air” branding and came with the Jumpman logos instead.

But for the 2017 retro, the classic Air Jordan 1 returns in its clean White leather upper with Varsity Red accents. Nike Air branding appears on the tongue, insole and outsole.
