Stan Birch Brings His “Stand Out” Style to the Saucony ProGrid Guide 7

Making his first move with Saucony, Stan Birch has linked up with the brand for a new take on the ProGrid Guide 7. Birch, who previously worked under the Flou Customs name, has already shown the shoe at several Fashion Week stops before its wider release this month.

His version of the ProGrid Guide 7 uses double-layer mesh underneath the runner’s usual mix of overlays. Burgundy covers much of the shoe, with mint green and off-white worked into different sections of the upper. Rather than sticking to one dominant color, the pair moves between the three shades across its layered construction.

A more personal detail comes from Birch’s “Stand Out” philosophy. The Three Rivers logos can be swapped out, giving the shoe either a white and red look or a gold finish. Several lace options are also included, adding another way to change how the pair looks.

adidas Crazy Energy Gets a McDonald’s All-American Colorway

Back in April, players at the 2026 McDonald’s All-American Games got their hands on a special adidas Crazy Energy made just for the event. A few months later, that same colorway is starting to show up at retail.

Yellow, red, and purple run across the upper in an uneven pattern that resembles a heat map. Bright yellow continues underfoot across the outsole, giving the shoe another clear connection to McDonald’s familiar color scheme. The mix is loud, but it fits the kind of player-exclusive releases that usually come out of All-American weekend.

A Harden Vol. 10 was also included in adidas’ McDonald’s All-American lineup for 2026. Both pairs use colors tied to the event, though the Crazy Energy takes a more mixed approach across the upper rather than sticking to traditional color blocking.

The adidas Crazy Energy “McDonald’s All-American” has already started showing up at select retailers, with a wider release expected during the Fall/Winter 2026 season.

Air Jordan 16 “Ginger” Returns June 2027

The Air Jordan 16 “Ginger” is coming back in Summer 2027, bringing one of the model’s original colorways back for the first time in years.

The “Ginger” first released in 2001, right as the Air Jordan line was entering a new chapter. Michael Jordan had already finished his run with the Bulls, and the Air Jordan 16 looked noticeably different from a lot of what came before it. The shoe had a cleaner, more upscale feel, and the warm Ginger colorway fit that look well.

Wilson Smith III designed the Air Jordan 16 with a removable magnetic shroud over the laces, giving the shoe a different look depending on whether it was worn on or off. Full-length Zoom Air was added underfoot for cushioning. Jordan also wore the “Ginger” during his time with the Washington Wizards, giving the colorway an on-court connection late in his career.

The 2027 release will bring back the original Light Ginger, Dark Charcoal, and White color scheme. Light Ginger covers most of the upper, while Dark Charcoal appears on the inner bootie, branding, and parts of the outsole. White finishes off the colorway, and the removable shroud is coming back too.

Air Jordan 8 “Hornets” Releases January 2027

Jordan Brand is bringing back one of Chris Paul’s early player-exclusive color schemes for Spring 2027. The upcoming Air Jordan 8 “Hornets” takes its look from a PE Paul wore during his time with the New Orleans Hornets.

The original pair was made for the 2008-09 season and featured a mostly Black nubuck upper with Teal and Marigold accents tied to the Hornets’ team colors. Rather than bringing that PE back exactly as it was, Jordan Brand is using it as the inspiration for a new retail release.

Black covers most of the upper, while New Emerald and Tour Yellow add color around the midsole, heel, straps, and branding. The combination keeps the overall look close to Paul’s original pair while giving the 2027 release its own finish.

The Air Jordan 8 “Hornets” is expected to release January 2, 2027 at select Jordan Brand retailers and on SNKRS. The retail price is set at $215.

Nike Baltoro “Cave Stone/Mystic Hibiscus” Returns September 2026

The Nike Baltoro “Cave Stone/Mystic Hibiscus” reaches back to one of the model’s older color stories rather than trying to reinvent it. Dark outdoor tones lead the way, with royal blue branding and burgundy accents pulling the look back toward the Baltoro pairs that circulated in the ’90s.

Nike went back to a similar palette in 2005 with the “Midnight Fog/International Blue” retro. The 2026 release is not an exact copy of either version, and the shades have changed, but the reference is still pretty clear.

Most of the shoe comes in Cave Stone, with Mystic Hibiscus and blue breaking up the darker look. It feels a lot like the old ACG color blocking Nike used back then, where a mostly muted shoe would get a few brighter hits in the right places.

The pair keeps the familiar Chicago-style color blocking, but adds floral details that tie back to Michael Jordan wearing the Air Jordan 1 during the Bulls’ 1998 “Last Dance” season.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG is getting another nod to New York with the release of the “Last Dance At The Garden” colorway.

This sneaker release from Jordan Brand is a nod to both the Knicks’ 2026 NBA Championship win and Michael Jordan’s storied history at Madison Square Garden. During what was expected to be MJ’s final home game at the Garden in 1998, he sported the now-iconic “Chicago” Air Jordan 1 while playing in black Bulls alternate uniforms.

The history-making game will be represented with this brand new low-top iteration. While Jordan Brand maintains the color blocking reminiscent of the “Chicago” AJ1, they switched up the color scheme to white and black. In place of traditional red leather piping, Jordan Brand applies a floral design reminiscent of a tapestry.

The finishing touches pay homage to Madison Square Garden and its nickname, “The Garden.” Orange and blue accents also show up on the lace stay of the tongue.

Air Jordan 11 MCS Baseball Cleats “Black/Metallic Gold” Channels Defining Moments Pack

The Air Jordan 11 is heading back to the football field in 2026 with a new MCS cleat covered almost entirely in black. Jordan Brand keeps the shape and details that make the AJ11 easy to recognize, then rebuilds the bottom for players who need traction on the field.

Black patent leather runs around the mudguard and continues across much of the upper, giving the cleat a much darker look than a typical Air Jordan 11. Rope laces, the tongue, inner lining and midsole are also finished in black. Metallic Gold breaks things up through the Jumpman logos on the ankle and tongue, along with matching accents on the heel. The color combination has some similarities to the black-and-gold Air Jordan 6 from the 2006 “Defining Moments Pack,” rather than the white-based AJ11 that came with it.

A molded black MCS plate replaces the regular Air Jordan 11 outsole, with studs positioned around the forefoot and heel for use on the field. Additional texture runs across the bottom for grip, while Jordan branding sits through the middle of the plate.

MoMA x Nike Air Rift 2 Pack Brings Sneaker Art to the Museum

MoMA and Nike are getting together again for Fall 2026, this time putting together two colorways of the Air Rift. The split-toe runner has been around since the ’90s, and the upcoming pack gives it two very different looks with bright colors worked into each pair.

One colorway comes covered mostly in green, with pink running through the smaller details and yellow adding another hit of color. The second pair starts with a black upper and mixes in neon yellow and light blue accents. Small pink Swooshes add one more color to the design without taking over the shoe.

MoMA branding shows up on the lace panels and insoles, while the rest of the shoe sticks with the Air Rift’s usual shape and setup.

The MoMA x Nike Air Rift 2 Pack will release in Fall 2026 through MoMA, Nike, and select retailers. Both colorways come in women’s sizing and will retail for $130 each.

Naomi Osaka Pays Tribute to Allen Iverson at the US Open

Naomi Osaka stepped onto the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium with a look that pulled straight from Allen Iverson’s influence. The custom outfit brought basketball style into the US Open before Osaka went on to win her match and move into the second round.

The Iverson influence was easy to spot. Osaka wore braids with a black-and-red headband, along with mismatched red and black arm sleeves, pulling from the same look Iverson made famous during his years with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Who Decides War took those references and gave them a completely different feel. Osaka’s outfit paired an oversized distressed grey hooded top with raw edges, patchwork, and layered details with a flowing white tulle skirt. It was more of a nod to Iverson’s style than a direct copy of anything he wore on the court.

Law Roach styled the look, while Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore of Who Decides War created the custom design. Osaka has used the US Open plenty of times to show more of her personality through fashion, and this time she chose someone who has had a real influence on her.

Osaka has spoken about Iverson as a trailblazer, especially when it comes to the way athletes dress and express themselves. She also credited him with helping change how fashion is viewed in sports, even if that was never something he set out to do.

The tribute stayed with her after the walkout. Osaka kept the black-and-red headband and arm sleeves on during the match, carrying the Iverson reference onto the court as she secured her place in the second round.

The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro is borrowing one of the line’s most recognizable color setups, showing up in a “Electric Green” look that instantly recalls the “Grinch.”

First shown by European basketball retailer basket4ballers, the pair covers most of the upper in a loud neon lime finish. That color stretches across the toe, underlays, and molded TPU cage, while aquamarine takes over the heel and appears again on the tongue branding. The midsole also fades through a matching green-to-teal gradient.

Red laces will come with the release, giving the shoe its clearest connection to the Kobe 6 “Grinch.” Even with that familiar detail, the Kobe 3 Low still keeps enough of its own shape and design to separate it from the original.

Recent Kobe Protro releases have brought several recognizable themes back across different models, and this pair looks to continue that direction. Nike has not officially confirmed the “Grinch” nickname yet, but the inspiration is hard to miss.

Original Story 8/18/26:
The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro releases continue heading into Fall 2026, with a “Pure Platinum” colorway now joining the mix. It comes after a busy stretch for the low-top model that has included “Atomic Pink,” “WNBA All-Star,” “Warning Label,” and Jalen Brunson’s “Arancia” pair.

This one takes a quieter approach. Light grey covers nearly the entire shoe, while Armory Blue shows up on the branding and gives the metallic Swoosh at the heel a little shine without changing the overall look too much.

Jun Seok Yeo has already worn the colorway on court during the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers. Official photos have since started making the rounds, giving us a much clearer look at the pair ahead of its release.

Jordan Brand Names First Jordan Design Studio Winner

UPDATE 9/1/26: Jordan Brand has named the first winner of its Jordan Design Studio, which brought young designers together across Beijing, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Syn Zhuang of Beijing took the top spot and will now keep working with Jordan Brand to develop her design, with the goal of eventually bringing it to retail.

Original Story 8/13/26:
The Air Jordan 1 has been reworked countless times over the years, but the latest batch coming out of Jordan Design Studio goes well beyond a normal color or material swap. A few of these pairs almost look like completely different shoes.

Jordan Design Studio brought creatives together through workshops in several cities, giving them access to people who already know their way around the brand. Nina Chanel Abney, Chris Gibbs, Angelo Baque, and Hiroshi Fujiwara were among the collaborators involved as participants developed their ideas into actual prototypes.

Eight designers reached the final stage, all starting with the Air Jordan 1 “Love Letter.” New York’s Alaia Ryan went with layered Swooshes, different materials, and a custom NAYR Air patch. Chelsea B out of Chicago added crochet along with cut-and-sew work across the upper.

Los Angeles designer Cheikh Tall pulled from his Ghanaian background for a plaid covering inspired by market bags, handles included. Carlos “Calo” Eduardo Lopez Velasco took a much bulkier approach, stacking oversized leather, canvas, and suede panels across the AJ1.

Things get even stranger with the international entries. Yuji Wada from Tokyo went mostly black, using wrinkled textures and a dotted outline where the Swoosh would normally sit. Beijing’s Syn Zhuang softened the shape of the shoe and built the upper so it can fold down and change the look.

Jisoon Kim of Seoul turned the Jordan 1 into a tall boot-style design with repeated AJ1 panels running up the build. Shanghai designer GG Wu went another route with distressed finishes and removable pieces that let the shoe switch between Mid and Low setups.

All eight finalists are headed to Shanghai for The One Global Finals on August 29, 2026. Jordan Brand will choose one global winner, with the selected Air Jordan 1 design expected to be produced and potentially released to the public.

Another Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro is on the way for Holiday 2026. This one comes in “Dynamic Yellow,” using a yellow and purple color scheme that will be familiar to Lakers fans.

The Kobe 3 Low takes a different approach from most Protro releases. Nike went back to the original Kobe 3 from 2007 and turned it into a low-top instead of simply updating the old build. The “Warning Label” colorway was the first pair to release, and more have followed, including “Pure Platinum,” “Electric Green,” and “Atomic Pink.”

Dynamic Yellow covers nearly the entire upper, while purple is used on the laces, tongue branding, Swoosh, and part of the midsole. The colors give the shoe an obvious Lakers feel, especially with the softer yellow matching closely with the team’s current uniforms.

Coco Gauff Introduces the New Balance 983

New Balance is getting ready to roll out another new lifestyle model, with Coco Gauff helping introduce the 983 ahead of her time in New York. The shoe had already surfaced through its designer on Instagram, but this gives us the first official look at what’s coming.

The 983 joins a growing list of newer New Balance silhouettes that have pushed the brand beyond its usual retro lineup. Models like the 1954R, 2000 series, Action Bronson’s 2811 and Ronnie Fieg’s 2011 have all added something different to the mix, and the 983 continues that run.

Instead of bringing back one specific sneaker from the archives, the New Balance 983 borrows from several performance runners from the 2000s. The upper uses rounded overlays with a traditional “N” logo through the midfoot, while most of the design stands out through the sole unit underneath.

ABZORB SBS cushioning pods are worked into the midsole in an oval shape, surrounded by curved, wave-like sections that continue into the outsole. It gives the shoe a technical feel without making the overall shape look overly bulky.

The New Balance 983 will release globally on October 1, 2026, priced at $160.

Official Photos of the Nike GT Future “Varsity Red”

The GT Future has given Nike Basketball’s Greater Than line a much different look from where it started. Its tall, molded shell brings obvious Foamposite influence, and the upcoming “Varsity Red” colorway keeps the focus on that shape instead of piling on extra graphics.

Nearly the entire upper is finished in glossy metallic red, which makes the ridges and sharp curves even more noticeable. Black fills in the tongue, collar, lining, outsole, and Swoosh branding, giving the brighter shell a clean break around the edges.

This pair is more restrained than some of the GT Future colorways already shown. There is no gradient or busy print here. The red finish does most of the work, while the unusual construction keeps the shoe from feeling plain.

Nike is also preparing the GT Uptempo, GT Force, and GT Flight as the Greater Than family continues to grow. For now, the GT Future remains one of the lineup’s most recognizable designs.

Nike Air Max 95 “Joker” Is the Next Comic-Inspired Colorway

Another Air Max 95 is getting the unofficial “Joker” treatment for Fall/Winter 2026, following the upcoming “Batman” colorway revealed earlier this year. There’s no official DC tie-in here, but the mix of dark greys, purple, and bright green makes the nickname an easy one to understand.

Black mesh takes up most of the upper, including the tongue and lace area, while the familiar side stripes fade from a light grey down into charcoal and near-black. The same dark finish carries onto the toe and mudguard. Canyon Purple shows up in smaller spots, including the jewel Swooshes near the heel, tongue branding, and sections of the outsole. A blue-purple tint can also be seen through the visible Air cushioning.

Bright green is saved mostly for the bottom of the shoe. It fills the exposed midfoot section beneath the arch and also appears on the insoles, adding a sharp break from the otherwise muted upper. Purple rubber across the forefoot completes the color mix that has led to the “Joker” nickname.
