Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Pale Vanilla” Samples Revealed

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Pale Vanilla” Samples have leaked, providing fans with another look at La Flame’s never-before-seen archival sneaker designs. As one of the most sought-after collaborators for both Nike and Jordan Brand, Travis Scott has never disappointed when it comes to building hype for his Jordan 1 projects, and even some of his canceled samples have been highly discussed within the sneakerhead community.

Featuring his signature Reverse Swoosh detail, these sample pairs are much more subdued in their presentation and are covered in a layer of off-white leather. One is finished in a blush pink colorway, while the other pair is presented in a light gray-blue tone. Both feature cream midsoles, a stitched Cactus Jack embossed heel tag, and even more of those stitched accents that really tie the entire design together. It’s a very raw look that just screams “sample”, but in a way that also feels very on-brand for Travis Scott, even if these pairs will probably never see a retail release.

As for when these could have been released, some have speculated that these could be early versions of Scott’s mysterious “Pink Pack” or simply variants of his “Pale Vanilla” series that were previously teased a few seasons ago. There are no clear sample tags visible in the photos, so it’s hard to pinpoint when they were made. Nevertheless, these pairs fit very well within Travis Scott’s overall Jordan 1 Low catalog, as their muted colorways feel right at home among his previous and most successful colorways.

Release info for these Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Pale Vanilla” Samples is probably slim to none, but these samples only add to the legend of Travis Scott within the sneaker world. These are definitely some of the best Travis Scott samples we have seen so far and really remind us how influential Travis Scott has been for both Nike and Jordan Brand. Even his sample pairs that won’t be released have become some of the most talked-about Travis Scott pairs.

Jerry Lorenzo Reveals The New adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II.5

Jerry Lorenzo introduces the Fear of God Athletics Basketball II.5, an evolution of his Basketball II model.

The II.5 features almost identical tooling from its predecessor, including radial traction and the barely-there “Athletics” branding on the outsole. That said, the connection to Basketball II. and earlier iterations certainly makes the II.5 feel familiar, but the most significant update is at the top.

Lorenzo introduced a semi-translucent shroud on the upper with a center zipper, which is a rather daring move, giving the shoe a decidedly futuristic look. The “Athletics” branding appears on the zipper tape, and there’s a matching “A” logo at the spine. All of these elements are defining characteristics that make the II.5 stand out.

Shoe enthusiasts will surely take note of how the Basketball II.5 has maintained its performance heritage and incorporated some edgy refinements.

The Fear of God Athletics Basketball II.5 will retail for $200, launching Fall 2025 on adidas.com and at select retailers.

FACETASM and ASICS First Collab Appears With The GEL-Kayano 14 “Organic Beauty”

FACETASM’s inaugural collab with ASICS arrives in the form of the GEL-KAYANO 14 “Organic Beauty”, which will drop September 20 in Japan.

The shoe features thirty different hues inspired by the natural world, with colors pulled from plants, dirt, light, and water. The palette is adventurous for sure, but for whatever reason it’s much more wearable than it sounds. It’s that restraint that really makes the pair special.

Elsewhere, the upper features three different types of mesh that play with texture depending on the angle, while a stippled midsole evokes the rough texture of dirt. A holographic copper heel wraps the sole, and carries the only mention of FACETASM branding. It’s a small detail, but one that feels like something sneakerheads will appreciate immediately.

This is a huge one for FACETASM, as it’s their first project with ASICS ever. From the looks of it, it probably won’t be the last either. Longtime fans of the GEL-KAYANO range will be into how the pair toes the line between adventurous and utilitarian.

The ASICS × FACETASM GEL-KAYANO 14 will release September 20, 2025 at FACETASM Aoyama (11 AM JST), Shinsaibashi (10 AM JST), the E-Store (10 AM JST), and at selected retailers nationwide.

Nike Shox NZ Returns For Fall 2025

Decades since its release, Nike Shox NZ is coming back with a refined take on the Shox R4.

The Nike Shox NZ was the sleekest, most aerodynamic Shox sneaker of its time. The shoe had the lowest profile of the series, offering a quicker, streamlined silhouette while also being closer to the ground.

Compared to the R4, the NZ is almost its polar opposite. The side panels feature diagonal details that meet with the eyelets, a subtle design element that gives the shoe its own identity. Material builds lean into a leather and mesh combination, offering breathability and support for daily use.

Branding appears everywhere from vibrant Swooshes to Shox wordmarks, with no confusion that this shoe is a part of Nike’s history. Three colorways are confirmed for the revival: Triple Black, Black/White-Varsity Red, and White/Sport Red-Cool Grey-Metallic Silver.

The Whitaker Group x New Balance 740 “Willful Bias” For Discovery Releases September 19th

The Whitaker Group x New Balance 740 “Willful Bias” For Discovery aims to shine a light on one of the sneaker company’s forgotten silhouettes. After their successful 990v4 and 998 “Willful Bias” drop, James Whitner and the team behind The Whitaker Group continue to bridge the gap between heritage and innovation in an intentional and engaging way.

Featuring high-end materials and a clear narrative throughout the build, this New Balance 740 gives the old sneaker a fresh take with a black and gold leather treatment. The clean white mesh upper is accented with strategic leather trim on the collar and tongue, offering a clean look that exudes quiet confidence. Details can be found on the heel with a tonal black mesh with texture and of course the “WB” branding on the tongue, doubling down on the Willful Bias theme. The insoles also feature artwork that touches on discovery, resilience, and individuality. This is the kind of layer that sneaker collectors appreciate in Whitaker Group projects.

Launched in the 80s, the original New Balance 740 was a basketball silhouette that Hall of Famer James Worthy wore during his time on the court with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bringing it back as part of their “Willful Bias” collection seems like a great way to connect past sports heritage to this current discussion on self-expression and sneakers. I can think of few collaborators that can weave these elements together as well as The Whitaker Group. This will be a standout project from their recent releases.

Release Date & Where To Buy

The Whitaker Group x New Balance 740 “Willful Bias” For Discovery drops September 19, 2025. Pairs will be on sale online and in-store at A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB and JAIDE with raffle tickets available until September 15th at 3:00 PM EST.

Aminé’s Portland-Exclusive New Balance 2000 Limited To 100 Pairs

The Aminé x New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” is getting even more exclusive. Beyond the October 4th launch, only 100 extra pairs will be raffled during Aminé’s Best Day Ever Festival in Portland, taking place September 13–14.

The ultra-limited edition design is the same chunky “Biblioteca” silhouette, but it comes infused with this exclusive raffle-only energy. The fun and over-the-top color-blocking of neon blue mesh, hot pink trim, and orange accents with green overlays perfectly represents the festival’s spirit. The glow-in-the-dark details and brash “Club Banana Research” callouts lend an idiosyncrasy that’s true to Aminé. It’s a sneaker that will turn heads and embody the spirit of Portland’s creative energy.

To secure a chance at the raffle, fans must preorder the wider Biblioteca release during the festival. That guarantees them a retail pair and automatically enters them into the drawing for this ultra-rare collectible. It’s a clever way to connect sneaker culture with local community events, turning the drop into more than just another release.

While this is the first official global collaboration on the 2000 model, it follows Joe Freshgoods’ extremely limited pink pair that appeared quietly earlier in 2025. Together, these drops prove that the New Balance 2000 is stepping into the spotlight with bold, culture-first storytelling. Sneakerheads who secure one of the 100 pairs will own a piece of that history.

Release Date & Where To Buy

The Aminé x New Balance 2000 Biblioteca Portland Exclusive will be raffled September 13–14 at Best Day Ever Fest, with only 100 pairs available. The wider Biblioteca release arrives October 4th on NewBalance.com and select retailers.

SBTG’s Nike SB Dunk Low Returns From The 2006 Archive in 2025

The SBTG Nike SB Dunk Low from 2006 is officially making its return—sort of. Rather than a true retro, Singaporean artist SBTG is re-releasing pairs from his personal archive, giving sneakerheads a rare shot at owning the original design nearly two decades later.

This pair, first launched in the golden era of SB Dunks, stood out with its military-inspired camo, distressed overlays, and signature lace flap hardware. The bold green Swoosh, custom tongue embroidery, and red interior graphics all carried SBTG’s signature hand-painted feel. For 2006, this was radical design work—details sneaker culture has since come to embrace widely. That’s why many still call this Dunk one of the most legendary collabs of its era.

But the archive drop doesn’t stop there. Alongside the Dunk, SBTG is making past collaborations available with ASICS, New Balance, DC Shoes, Thrasher, and PUMA. From fly-print panels to quilted uppers, the range highlights his ability to merge streetwear grit with sneaker design across multiple brands. Few artists can point to such a diverse footwear portfolio.

While no confirmed release date has been shared yet, SBTG has hinted that announcements will roll out soon. For collectors, this archive release is a reminder that some designs don’t just age well—they become cultural artifacts. That’s the kind of history sneaker fans don’t want to miss.

The SBTG Nike SB Dunk Low Archive Release and supporting pairs will launch in 2025 via SBTG’s own channels. Stay tuned for updates and official release details.

Our Legacy Work Shop x Converse Chuck 70 Releases September 12th

The Our Legacy Work Shop x Converse Chuck 70 is a collaboration that updates vintage techniques on two new interpretations of the silhouette.

Our Legacy was established in 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden. The brand has built a reputation for transforming garments to acquire a rugged, unfinished appeal. This ethos is represented on the Our Legacy x Chuck 70 as the label embosses its logo across the model. This isn’t the label’s first venture on the silhouette as earlier this year Our Legacy customized Stüssy x Chuck 70s with dyed uppers and the brand’s stitched Yin Yang emblem. On these, the same emblem is embroidered into the ankle.

The two colorways, “Natural Ivory” and “Espresso” are both a play on versatility. Raw canvas uppers, tonal stitching and co-branding elements are present on both. On closer inspection though are subtle details that pay homage to Chucks from the 1960s through to 1980s. Foxing tape is laid unevenly, rubber walls are taller, toe caps are shorter, and bumpers are placed sporadically – all creating an overall hand-finished appearance. This kind of meticulous detail separates this collaboration from a traditional retro drop.

The Our Legacy Work Shop x Converse Chuck 70 will be available for release September 12, 2025, via Our Legacy, Converse and retailers including Dover Street Market.

ASICS is dialing up the collaboration game with the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16 “Tomo”. But why stop at one creative partner when you can have seven?

This sneaker gets its magic touch from an elite crew of U.S. retailers known as “Tomo” accounts. These include A Ma Maniére, CNCPTS, Extra Butter, Feature, Sneaker Politics, Lapstone & Hammer, and Somewhere DC. Basically, it’s like the sneaker version of The Avengers—minus the capes.

Despite juggling seven ideas, the design is surprisingly polished. The GEL-Cumulus 16 blends white mesh with metallic silver panels and green, teal, and purple overlays. Creamy laces and midsoles soften the punchy color scheme, while hits of color in the GEL cushioning give it that classic ASICS edge.

New Balance Numeric Reintroduces The 770

The New Balance Numeric 770 revisits the popular CXT770, a cross-trainer loved by many in the 90’s. Now nearly 30 years later the CXT770 is reborn as a skate shoe while maintaining that retro aesthetic.

The upper is faithful to the original, consisting of smooth and tumbled perforated leather and TPU arms for support. There’s a double toe cap reinforcement for durability as well as hidden lace loops for optional protection. That’s a nice little detail that skaters will appreciate.

Underfoot the shoe has molded polyurethane insoles to provide soft landings, as well as an “Integrated Counter Reinforcer Footframe System” to keep you balanced. Internal straps ensure the tongue stays in place, which meets the bar set by modern skate shoes while also staying true to its cross-trainer origins.
