To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the PUMA Suede, the brand has let The Weeknd fully redesign the popular silhouette for his next upcoming collection.
Dressed in three color options of “Black/White,” “Black/Gum,” and “Glacier Grey,” the contemporary design is clean yet gritty. Instead of laces, there are buckle straps wrapping around the toe and ankle of the shoes. “19” sits at the center of one tongue, “68” at the other, paying homage to the year the Suede was born. Each sole is speckled like concrete.
The Black boot is fully monochromatic plush Suede atop a speckled Gum sole. The Glacier Grey is an all-Grey everything with Metallic Silver buckles on the straps and a Grey speckled sole. The Black and White boot goes wild with the Black suede upper wrapped in White straps and Metallic Black buckles. Not only does the White Formstrip jump against the Black, it pops atop a thick White sole with Black speckles.
