Air Jordan 16 “Board of Governors” PE From 2019 Surfaces

Jordan Brand’s “Board of Greatness” summit (previously called Board of Governors) is the company’s most clandestine affair. It’s not simply a seeding package or a new product reveal. It’s a rare, intimate gathering where Michael Jordan’s most trusted friends, athletes and collaborators assemble to bond over legacy and the future of the Jumpman. Every member takes home highly sought after pieces, but few compare to the exclusivity of the Air Jordan 16 “Board of Governors.”

Made exclusively for the 2019 summit, this Player Exclusive features top-notch construction and a subtle touch of luxury. Showcasing a quilted suede shroud in black suede with a matte nubuck toe box in lieu of the original patent leather, gold “BOG” stitching on the heel straps and a small bowtie stitched on the tongue, this model evokes MJ’s classic sense of style. A custom interior tag embroidered with “Exclusively Tailored for The Jordan Family — B.O.G. 2019” is another unique touch.

While there have been standard releases of the Air Jordan 16 that have paid homage to some of the shoe’s classic colorways over the years, this “Board of Governors” PE is one that’s not likely to ever be available to the public. The premium execution and the story behind this sneaker just make it so much more than a sneaker. This is a collectible that represents the crème de la crème of the Jordan Brand family, while also telling a story about Michael Jordan’s post-basketball career and influence away from the court.

The Air Jordan 16 “Board of Governors” PE will sadly never see a public release, making it one of the rarest modern-era Jordan designs of all time.

Stefon Diggs is making his sneaker debut with the ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 “Play Shoes”. After an emotional victory over his former team, Diggs unleashes his creativity in this nostalgic design.

The announcement of the collab was accompanied by a campaign video of a young football fan getting ready to wear the sneakers, which is a nod to the innocence and the creativity of playing in one’s childhood. “These are your play shoes”, written on the tongue of the shoe, is a reminder by Diggs for people to continue to keep playing and dreaming big. The colorway features a combination of white mesh, silver overlays and black Tiger Stripes with a red liner and yellow midfoot shank inspired by Diggs’ vibrant playfulness on the field.

Incorporating ASICS’ stability system and the silhouette’s retro-runner DNA, the GEL-DS Trainer 14 “Play Shoes” is nostalgic, purposeful, and sporty. The sneaker is also versatile and durable enough for daily life.

The Stefon Diggs x ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 “Play Shoes” will release in October 2025 for $160 USD via Social Status, ASICS.com, and select retailers.

LAPD Recovers $500K in Stolen Nike Gear From Cool Kicks Owner

UPDATE 10/6/25: The LAPD has seized over $500,000 in stolen Nikes, including unreleased sneakers and clothing, as part of an investigation stemming from a search in Santa Monica. Cool Kicks owner Adeel Shams has been arrested.

UPDATE 10/3/25: Cool Kicks releases official statement after raid and arrest of owner Adeel Shams.

Original Story:
CoolKicks founder Adeel Shams was arrested in Los Angeles after what was described as a “raid” over fraud allegations. Multiple outlets reported the arrest after it began trending on social media, citing inmate records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Reports show that Shams was arrested by the LAPD Bunco/Forgery Division on October 2, 2025, at 10: 45 am, according to the Los Angeles County Inmate Information Center. Bail and bond records also show that Shams was booked in the evening under felony charges, but it is unclear what charges Shams is being detained under. Jail records state that Shams was later released on his own recognizance on October 3. The next court date will be held on October 23, 2025, at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The LAPD has yet to issue a full statement, but the case appears to be an investigation under the Bunco/Forgery Division, which mostly serves to address financial crimes. Several photos obtained by online outlets detail law enforcement’s search of a CoolKicks storage unit. Multiple trucks were seen hauling away pallets of sneaker boxes, though it is unknown what the units’ contents are. Photos of trucks with boxes of Nikes inside have since trended on social media.

CoolKicks has been an influential part of sneaker culture on Melrose for years. Pioneering in the re-selling market, the store gained traction on YouTube by developing a personal internet following and serving as the sneaker store of choice for many celebrity sneaker hauls.

Shams’ arrest comes at a crucial time for CoolKicks as the shop reinvents its business model. For years, the store has maintained the reputation of changing sneaker retail with its more entertaining approach to sales. If convicted, Shams may be involved in one of the largest lawsuits the reseller industry has seen to date.

Next Court Date: 10/23/25 at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shy Pink” Pack Releases Summer 2026

UPDATE 10/6/25: According to X user @brandon1an and Sneaker Market RO, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shy Pink” Pack is expected to release May 22, 2026.

Original Story 7/31/25:
Travis Scott isn’t slowing down. During a recent appearance at Verde Beach in Saint-Tropez, La Flame was seen wearing the unreleased Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shy Pink”. The colorway was previously rumored for a Spring 2025 launch before being shelved by Nike.

Part of the speculated “Pink Pack,” the “Shy Pink” edition was said to release alongside a Neapolitan-themed pair. Both were reportedly scrapped in favor of Scott’s pivot toward signature models like the Jordan Jumpman Jack and Nike Zoom Field Jaxx. Still, his public wear test of the Shy Pink pair has fans hoping for a second chance.

Featuring light pink suede overlays, a white leather upper, and a red reverse Swoosh, the Shy Pink Jordan 1 OG pairs classic Nike Air branding on the tongue and pink laces. It’s a toned-down play on the popular “Medium Olive” colorway that took the sneaker world by storm in 2023.

While a retail release remains unlikely, the pair continues Travis’ trend of teasing unreleased heat. For fans and collectors, it’s a glimpse at what could’ve been—blending subtle luxury with signature Scott details.

At this time, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shy Pink” is rumored to release May 22, 2026 for $155 USD. Stay tuned for more updates.

Nike Air Max 90 Takes Inspiration From The “Skunk” Dunk

This Nike Air Max 90 brings back one of Nike’s most infamous themes to date. The new sneaker is based on the 2010 Dunk High Pro SB “Skunk.” The Fall 2025 colorway is a nostalgic, aggressive combination of Cargo Khaki, Old Moss, Dusty Olive, and Velvet Brown.

Its textured upper and distressed accents play with suede’s soft fuzziness, similar to its SB roots. Earthy TPU overlays, with olive green branding and a brown Swoosh, take the “worn and collected” silhouette outdoors. Meanwhile, its split-tone midsole, half moss green and half brown, encapsulates the sneaker’s outdoor aesthetic.

Nike does nostalgia right: a heritage silhouette recrafted for modern-day renegades.

Missed the original “Skunk” Dunk? Admire these intricate details on one of Nike’s most recognizable silhouettes, in a release with cult written all over it.

Nike will release the Nike Air Max 90 “Skunk” Fall 2025 via Nike.com and select retailers for $145 USD.

Hirofumi Kojima Reveals The atmos x ASICS GEL-NYC “Iceberg”

atmos and ASICS team up for the second time to update the GEL-NYC in a frosty, “Iceberg” edition. Introduced by atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima, the upper is inspired by the scenic allure of glaciers with its layered blues and icy metallic accents.

The focus is on the insoles of the sneakers, which feature a beautiful image of an iceberg with half of it submerged and the other half reflecting sunlight. The top of the shoe uses icy suede overlays, silver underlays, and mesh for a breathable upper while navy accents provide high contrast. The midsole is a gradient transitioning from dark to light blue, reminiscent of Arctic sea.

This isn’t the first time atmos has merged narratives with sneakers — but “Iceberg” might be their most visually poetic effort to date. The shoe finds an equilibrium between a performance background and artistic touches that sneakerheads will be sure to pick out.

Though no release date is confirmed, early looks suggest a drop later this season. Expect the atmos x ASICS GEL-NYC “Iceberg” to surface online and in select atmos stores soon.

Jordan Luka 4 “Hčerka” Honors Luka’s Daughter

UPDATE 10/6/25: Nike has unveiled official photos of the Jordan Luka 4 “Hčerka,” releasing October 13, 2025, in honor of Luka Dončić’s daughter.

Original Story 9/17/25:
Luka Dončić is a superstar with video game cameos and magazine covers in his portfolio, but a family-first man through and through. That’s reflected in his newest signature sneaker, the Jordan Luka 4 “Hčerka”. Translated, the name means “daughter” in Slovenian and the drop is a nod to Dončić welcoming one in late 2023.

The pair arrives covered in bright Flash Crimson and Sunset Pulse for a vibrant, yet sentimental look. An intricate layered upper features tonal stitching and slick overlays that culminate in a big Cushlon midsole for pop. Black Jumpman branding on the heel and Luka’s own logo on the outsole add contrasting touches to keep it court ready.

As with previous storytelling colorways like the “Lake Bled,” Luka links his personal narrative to his play shoes with the “Hčerka.” The colorway also seems more adaptable to both lifestyle and court looks than some. It’s at least lifestyle-friendly while still being capable on the hardwood. For the Luka faithful, that lineage connection with some hoops credibility is a heartstring-tugging combo.

The Jordan Luka 4 “Hčerka” will release on October 13, 2025, in full family sizing. Adult sizes cost $135 USD. The retro will be available at select Jordan Brand retail locations in-store and online and Nike.com.

Palace is teaming up with Nike Football to relaunch the classic Total 90 III SP. They have enlisted English legend Wayne Rooney to front the new campaign. Rooney was known for his scorching performances through the 2000s while donning the Total 90 boots himself.

The Palace x Nike Total 90 III SP is a street-inspired take on classic football silhouettes. The lifestyle version of the Total 90 III features the classic rounded “90” logo, along with material updates to keep up with the daily demands.
