Jordan Brand trolled everyone by allowing us to believe that the black, red, and white Air Jordan 1 releasing on Black Friday was another “Banned” retro. It’s not. Not only that, but it just seems that Jordan Brand is struggling creatively lately. They’re either force feeding stories and themes behind certain releases, or they’re rehashing the same old colorways over, and over, and over again.

Yeezys. It’s really doesn’t matter what in the box anymore. As long as it says “YEEZY” on the front of it, people will buy it.

StockX has a class action lawsuit on their hands, spearheaded by a kid in Kansas.

Nike wins “Retailer of the Year”, which shouldn’t be too surprising considering how much they’re focusing on the direct-to-consumer side of things. But if we had to make up our own category, Under Armour would definitely win “Party Planner of the Year”.

Olympic gold medalist, and world champion, Allyson Felix threw up the double deuce to the Swoosh and signed with the Gap’s newest upstart brand “Athleta”. Maybe if she was a flag, some of the other Nike athletes would’ve given her cause more support and attention.

And finally, Steve Madden is apparently still a thing in 2019, acquiring our show’s first sponsor, Greats Brand. We guess it’s not the weirdest acquisition story in the world. Just Google “Habro” and “Death Row Records”.

First Look at the Nike LeBron 17?

While LeBron James himself has already teased his next signature shoe, here is a look at one of the upcoming Nike LeBron 17 colorways.

Dressed in a Black and White color scheme. The shoe comes constructed in a mix of BattleKnit and leather with a a reversed jewel Swoosh atop an Air unit reminiscent of the Air Max 720. But the highlight of the shoe is found on its leather tongues that pays homage to King James’ signature line.

The right tongue features the lion’s logo from the LeBron 8, signature “Six” script, the Dunkman logo, and the L23 emblem. The left tongue sports “I’m King” from the LeBron 16, the redesigned ACG pyramid, and the LJ crown symbol.

No word on an exact release date, but you can expect full details on the Nike LeBron 17 during the models official unveiling in September. Stay tuned for more updates.

UPDATE 8/29: LeBron James shared his thoughts on these latest photos via Instagram. “Sorry not real,” James wrote. “Close but no cigar my friends. Coming soon though!”

Dusseldorf-based retailer Afew and Diadora have unveiled their latest N.9002 collaboration dubbed, “Master Formula.”

This release is made up of different parts of sneaker culture that includes: love, passion, diversity, and friendship. It features a Black and Purple upper made in a mix of kangaroo leather and pigskin nubuck. Cow leather is used on the liner, with each foot featuring unique Afew/Dr. Wefa – the mad scientist behind the design, branding. Colorful accents on the sides, heel, and insole completes the design. There will also be a matching Diadora tracksuit releasing alongside the footwear.
