Better Air Jordan 5: “Michigan” or “Oregon”

The Air Jordan 5 has been used to celebrate Jordan Brand’s popular sponsored schools including both Michigan Wolverines and the Oregon Ducks.

Released in August 2019, the Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” pays homage to the legendary Michigan Wolverines throughout official team colors. It features an Amarillo nubuck upper paired with Navy detailing, reflective tongues and retro tag stitched to the heel. For some extra motivation, “INSPIRE” reads inside the tongue completed with translucent outsoles.

During September 2020, the Air Jordan 5 “Oregon” was released in a distinctive color scheme paying tribute to the Oregon Ducks. Like the PE edition, the shoe features a Green suede upper with a Team Jordan woven tag on the heel and contrasting Black hits on the eyelets, tongue and quarter panel netting. Other details includes a reflective tongue, “Elevate” sewn onto the inner tongue atop an icy outsole.

Inspired by the Mexican beer, the Nike SB Dunk High “Tecate” was released in 2010 for $93 USD.

Dressed in a Metallic Gold, Sport Red, and Black color scheme. This Nike SB Dunk High features Black leather on the toe box and collar with Red suede overlays and Metallic Gold midfoot panels reminiscent of the brew’s signature can.

Nike Dunk High Pro Green CZ8149-100 Release Date Price

In addition to the “Michigan” pair, Nike will also be releasing a rivalry “Spartan Green” colorway of the Dunk High during the month of September.

Unlike the original from 2008, this version of the Nike Dunk High will come dressed in a White and Pro Green makeup. The shoe features a White leather base with a darker shade of Green on the overlays as well as on the rubber outsole.

Set to release alongside the Converse Chuck 70 as part of the Jordan “Why Not?” x Converse Pack is the Air Jordan 16, both inspired by Russell Westbrook’s unmatched style off the court and energy on the court.

Dressed in a Black, Sail and Antique Silver color scheme. This Air Jordan 16 features a range of textures, from leather to satin, that nods back to rock and roll-styled leather jackets that Westbrook enjoys wearing. Studs that resemble those on leather jackets adorn the lateral side of the shroud of the Air Jordan 16 completed with a detachable, magnetic shroud and Westbrook’s “Why Not?” logo on the tongues in Silver metal.

PUMA and Neymar Jr. Announce Long-Term Partnership

PUMA has signed a long-term partnership with Brazilian football player Neymar Jr., represented by NR Sports, one of the most successful athletes of his generation, who will wear PUMA’s legendary PUMA King football boot.

Neymar will not only wear the PUMA King on pitch, but will be a brand ambassador off-pitch, wearing PUMA’s most important lifestyle, training, and sport-inspired footwear and apparel products.

“Neymar Jr. joining our PUMA Family is fantastic”, said Bjørn Gulden, CEO of PUMA. “He is one of the best players in the world and extremely relevant for the global football and youth culture. We are very excited and look forward to working with him both on and off the pitch.”

In a message to his fans on his social media channels entitled “The King is Back”, Neymar Jr. spoke about the impact that football greats such as Pelé and Maradona have had on his life, and his decision to follow in their footsteps by partnering with PUMA.

“I grew up watching videos of great football legends such as Pelé, Cruyff, Eusebio and Maradona,” Neymar Jr. said. “These were the kings of the pitch, the kings of my sport. I wish to bring back the legacy that those athletes created on the pitch. They each played in PUMA, and each of them created their magic in The KING.”

He continued: “Every time I lace my boots, my KING boots, I will do anything to achieve all of my dreams to honor my name and that of all those great ones who wore the KING before me. This will be my PUMA history. The KING is back!”

Neymar has won several trophies in Brazil, Spain and France, as well as the Champions League and the Copa Libertadores. He also won the Olympic Gold Medal with the Brazilian National Team in 2016. He has scored 61 goals in 101 matches for Brazil, making him the third highest goal scorer for his national team.

He currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and has won three French league titles, two Coupe de France, and two Coupe de la Ligue. He played an important role in leading the club to its first ever Champions League Final in 2020.
