BBC Ice Cream Reveals Reebok Question Low Collaboration

Following a look at an unreleased BBC x Reebok Question Low last week, Reebok and Pharrell Williams’ premium streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club have officially unveiled their FW20 collaboration resulting in two colorways paying homage to BBC Ice Cream’s historic “Name Chains” and “Beepers & Butts” graphics respectively.

The “Beepers & Butts” graphic has become one of BBC Ice Cream’s most recognizable since its debut in 2005. The illustration, which was first seen on BBC’s iconic full-zip hoodie, is a nod to the ‘90s hip-hop scene where beepers were a sign of success and prestige.

The “Name Chains” graphic was also illustrated in 2005 for the Ice Cream sneaker line. Name chain necklaces and pendants were popularized in the 1980s, specifically within the hip-hop scene, as Black Americans expressed individuality and pride in their family names and newfound identities. The BBC “Name Chains” graphic is one of the rarest and its reemergence on a women’s lifestyle model is quite fitting.

LaMelo Ball Officially Signs With PUMA Hoops

PUMA has officially signed a long-term partnership with the top 2020 NBA prospect, LaMelo Ball.

At just 19 years old, Ball is redefining the next generation of basketball through his electrifying playing style and his personal style. LaMelo will serve as a brand ambassador for PUMA both on and off the court, including signature products. As part of the partnership, PUMA will collaborate with Ball to create products that incorporate PUMA’s culture first approach – blurring the lines between sports, culture, music and fashion.

PUMA and LaMelo’s approach to their partnership will fall under the “Not from Here” creative concept, which LaMelo came up with himself to represent his “one of one” attitude.

The first collab will be a PUMA x LaMelo Ball T-shirt and hoodie set to release November 18th in correlation with the 2020 NBA Draft (further details forthcoming).
