Nike is set to revive a fan-favorite classic with the return of the Nike Air Max 95 “Olympic” in 2026, per @brendandunne. Originally dropped in 2004 during the Athens Olympics, this sneaker showcases bold colors drawn from the five Olympic rings.
The upper features layered panels of black, blue, green, red, and yellow. Each lace loop also mirrors these iconic colors, creating a dynamic and spirited look. The base white mesh and leather offer balance, while gold-tinted Air Max bubbles and striped tongue labels add flair.
Notably, the tongue badge’s colorway might reference Greece’s flag, paying tribute to the host country of the 2004 Olympics. A small gold Swoosh on the heel and Nike Air branding complete the nostalgic design.
Many original pairs from 2004 suffered from age-related wear, such as midsole crumbling. This Retro release gives fans a chance to wear the design once more—without the risk of damage. Although it wasn’t a limited drop back then, this release is sure to draw attention from longtime Air Max lovers.
