Nike Air Max 1 “King’s Day” Releases April 2025

Published on

Each April 27th, the Netherlands celebrates Koningsdag, or King’s Day, marking the monarch’s birthday. This tradition, once Koninginnedag for queens, features a nationwide vrijmarkt, or “free market,” where locals sell used items. Oranjegekte, or “orange madness,” dominates the day as citizens wear orange attire. In 2024, King’s Day coincides with King Willem-Alexander’s birthdate.

For this year’s King’s Day (KD), Nike introduces a special Air Max 1 edition. The shoe, in Cacao Wow, Bright Mandarin, Amber Brown, Monarch, and Earth tones, honors the oranjegekte fervor. Crafted from premium materials, it boasts canvas and woodgrain-patterned textile accents on the heel. Velcro tongue tags and leather interiors add unique flair. With a Brown midsole and visible Air Max heel units, it promises comfort atop a durable rubber outsole.

King’s Day Air Max 1 Release Date

The Nike Air Max 1 “King’s Day” arrives in Spring 2025. It will be available at select Nike Sportswear stores in-store, online, and on Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $140 USD.

In conclusion, as the Dutch commemorate King’s Day, Nike joins the festivities with a special edition AM1. Embodying the vibrant spirit of oranjegekte, this shoe promises both style and comfort for celebrants nationwide.
