The Air Ship boasts a Sail, Blue Chill, Black, and Court Purple colorway. This palette nods to the Charlotte Hornets, a team Michael Jordan owned for over ten years. Now, as a minority owner, Jordan’s connection brings nostalgia. The colors celebrate his enduring legacy with the Hornets. Together, they create a meaningful and unique aesthetic.

The sneaker features a Sail leather base with toe box perforations for breathability. Black details appear on the Swoosh logos, eyestays, and toe overlays. Purple accents highlight the collars and tongue tags. The tags also display “Designed in Charlotte” text. A retro 90s pattern runs up the spine, adding nostalgia. Debossed graffiti-style “Paris” text decorates the lateral ankle.

The Opium x Jordan Air Ship “Charlotte Hornets” launches on June 1, 2024. You can find it at select Jordan Brand retailers, both in-store and online, followed by a wider release on July 6th via Nike.com. Available in women’s sizing, the sneaker retails for $150 USD.

In conclusion, Opium Paris has skillfully reimagined the Jordan Air Ship. Their unique touch blends Parisian style with iconic basketball heritage. This release not only honors Michael Jordan’s legacy but also offers a fresh, stylish option for sneaker enthusiasts. Don’t miss this limited edition drop on June 1, 2024.
