Nike is bringing another familiar Foamposite colorway to the Vapor X Posite, with an “Eggplant” edition expected to arrive in 2026. It follows the upcoming “Copper” and “Metallic Orange” pairs already tied to the model.

The original Foamposite remains closely tied to Penny Hardaway and basketball, but the Vapor X Posite takes that molded look in a different direction. Built as a tennis shoe, it blends familiar Foamposite styling with a lower, court-ready setup.

Royal purple covers most of the molded shell, giving the pair the same recognizable look as the classic “Eggplant” Foamposite. Black details help break up the upper, while a translucent plate finishes the bottom.

Earlier versions of the Vapor X Posite never received much of a mainstream push and were often spotted at outlet stores during the 2010s. This new run could end up being just as quiet, even with Nike leaning heavily on colorways longtime Foamposite fans already know.

The Nike Vapor X Posite “Eggplant” is expected to release late Summer 2026 through select retailers and Nike.com. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price tag is set at $170 USD.
