Nike Shox TL Goes Full Black Leather

Published on

Nike is moving the Shox TL away from its usual performance look with a full black leather upper. Finished in Triple Black, the Nike Shox TL “Black Leather” replaces the model’s familiar mix of mesh and synthetic panels with smooth leather across nearly the entire shoe.

The upper is kept simple. Black rope laces run over a padded tongue, while tonal stitching and a matching liner stay buried within the monochromatic finish. Nike skips a traditional Swoosh overlay and instead perforates the logo into the side panels. Small Shox marks appear on the tongue and heel, though both are easy to miss unless viewed up close.

Below, the shoe looks much more like the Shox TL people know. The full-length column system remains exposed and is finished in glossy black, adding a slight change in texture against the leather above. Black rubber covers the outsole with segmented traction through the forefoot and heel.

The leather does not alter the silhouette, but it changes how the shoe reads. Instead of leaning into the technical runner side of the model, this version feels heavier and more suited to everyday wear.

The Nike Shox TL “Black Leather” releases in Fall 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers for $190.
