Nike Skateboarding reveals the Nike SB Dunk High Elite, which is a fresh new look for the classic Nike SB Dunk. This all-new model combines elements from the Nike SB Dunk Low Elite and Nike SB Koston 3. It’s overall look was designed by Nike SB team rider Kevin Terpening, who used the Air Jordan 1 for inspiration – which is becoming a norm for Nike Skateboarding.
The silhouette, however, maintains the soul of the classic SB Dunk. Thanks to its second-skin feel, the collar also serves a very specific performance benefit: “It creates a solid connection from your ankle to your foot,” explains Terpening. “I’m more aware of the way my foot and board work together.”
The knit jacquard material on the toe box offers similar advantages. It’s super thin and has very few seams, yet provides support and a locked-in fit. Like the Nike SB Dunk Low Elite, its high-top counterpart features a larger Zoom Air bag in the midsole to give riders maximum impact absorption.
