Nike SB and Jordan Brand continue their crossover success with the Air Jordan 4 “Varsity Red.” This new colorway follows the 2023 “Pine Green” release and was initially set for a public drop. However, reports later confirmed its cancellation in late 2024.
Nike SB legend Eric Koston first revealed the “Varsity Red” Nike SB Air Jordan 4. The design stays true to its skateboarding roots, featuring “Nike SB” branding on the heel, high-quality materials, and a modified sole for improved board feel. The white leather and suede upper provide a clean foundation, while bold Varsity Red accents add a striking contrast.
Unlike previous Nike SB Air Jordan 4 releases, this version will remain a Friends & Family exclusive. This means sneaker fans won’t get a retail release, making it one of the rarest Nike SB x Air Jordan collaborations ever. Limited production runs like this add to the mystique and hype surrounding the sneaker.
Despite the cancellation, Nike SB and Jordan Brand continue pushing boundaries. In 2025, sneaker enthusiasts can look forward to the Nike SB Air Jordan 4 “Navy”, which is expected to hit select retailers. This upcoming release will likely carry the same premium construction and skate-ready features.
Stay tuned for more updates on Nike SB x Jordan Brand collaborations. Whether you’re a skateboarder or a sneaker collector, these releases continue to bridge two iconic cultures in footwear.
