Nike recently had to cancel their online launch of the Air Jordan 1 “Pinnacle” and the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago” that was scheduled for this weekend.
One of the main reasons for that is that fact that bots have been compromising the experience around specific products, and Nike is committed to creating the most premium experiences for us, the consumers online.
We all know how frustrating it is to simply have no chance at an online release due to everyone using bots. Even restocks are becoming impossible as most Nike restocks are predicted or are heard of a few hours in advance preparing those that use bots to get them going/ready.
While Nike claims to be working hard to make sure real consumers are the ones getting access and have a fair chance to buy their specific release they’ve been waiting for, what do you think Nike needs to change.
Should Nike begin releasing their launches at random days/times throughout the month of the shoe’s release? When will bots stop ruining real consumers online experience? What do you guys think is the better solution to fixing one of the biggest problems in trying to buy online releases?
