Community Poll: Is the Nike Mag The Greatest Sneaker of All-Time?

As a tribute to the year Back To The Future II released in theaters, only 89 pairs of the Nike Mag will be given out through Nike’s “The Draw” system.

Those interested in trying to hit the “lottery of sneakers” by obtaining a pair of the Nike Mag could only do so by purchasing $10 tickets, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

The power-lacing Nike Mag is by far the most significant sneaker “release” of all-time, even though they never really had an official “release” in the standard way.

Back in 2011, Nike released 1,500 pairs of the Nike Mag that were up for grabs, but the sneaker didn’t feature power-lacing. The total auction from eBay earned over $4.7 million, which was all for charity. That alone was one of the biggest reason why they reissued them in 2016, but this time with power-lacing just like they were in the classic film.

While many of us will never have the chance to own the Nike Mag, by participating in “The Draw” we’re doing something way more powerful, and helpful.

So with all that being said and what the Nike Mag actually stands for, is it safe to say that its the greatest sneaker of all-time?

Nike’s “The Draw” for the Nike Mag ends on October 11th. Winners will be notified on October 17th. All proceeds will go too the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
