Ahead of ComplexCon 2026, Jae Tips showed off his upcoming Nike Air Bakin Low in “Purple Stardust.” The Bronx designer has two colorways planned for Spring 2027, with a “Cobalt Bliss” pair joining this one when the collaboration releases.
The shoe comes covered mostly in light purple, with green used on the lining and blue on the laces. Black takes over the outsole, while a pair of small interlocking Swooshes sits near the forefoot. Jae Tips also adds his familiar “SAVIOR” branding to the tongue and works it into the AIR lettering on the heel.
Nike first released the Air Bakin in 1997, and while it has never been one of the brand’s most frequently retroed basketball shoes, it has kept a strong following over the years. Nike is now bringing the model back in a bigger way, including returns of the original Varsity Red and Varsity Royal colorways.
Jae Tips takes a different approach by turning the Bakin into a low-top and giving it his usual colorful treatment. His version is also noticeably different from the standard Air Bakin Low that Nike Sportswear has already shown.
