The Nike LeBron 8 V2 “Summit Lake Hornets” was originally released on March 4th, 2011, and retailed for $160 USD. This Nike LeBron 8 was designed as a nod to King James’ AAU squad, the Summit Lake Hornets.
Dressed in a mixture of Neutral Grey, Orion Blue, Cool Grey, and Concord color scheme. The shoe features a Neutral Grey Nike Flywire upper that is offset by a reflective 3M detailing, and finished with Purple and Teal accents hitting the tongue, laces, heel and a speckled Max Air bubble.
The Nike LeBron 8 received a lot of classic colorways that are still being used on today’s Nike LeBron releases, like the “Summit Laker Hornets” version. As Nike Basketball continues to flirt with the idea of beginning to retro the Nike LeBron series, should the Nike LeBron 8 V2 “Summit Lake Hornets” be added to the mix at some point?
