The Nike LeBron 23 “Stewie” brings one of the most recognizable player exclusives from LeBron James’ signature line back into the spotlight. Official images of the upcoming release have surfaced ahead of its expected July 7, 2026 launch.

Nike has used the LeBron 23 to revisit key moments from James’ career, but this pair reaches deeper into sneaker history. Its inspiration comes from the Nike LeBron 6 “Stewie” PE that appeared in 2009, a rare colorway that became a favorite among collectors despite never receiving a standard retail release.

The original shoe stood out for its unexpected connection to Stewie Griffin from Family Guy. Its limited availability only added to the interest over the years, although well-known sneaker collector PJ Tucker eventually managed to track down a pair.

That same animated theme now returns on the LeBron 23. Baltic Blue covers most of the crown-shaped upper, while White, Bluegrass, and Bright Crimson details pull from Stewie’s familiar color palette. Two-tone Swooshes and additional contrasting accents help connect the new version to the LeBron 6 PE without turning it into a direct copy.

The LeBron 23 has a much different shape and construction than the LeBron 6, so the theme feels fresh even with the familiar colors. It gives longtime LeBron collectors a reference they will immediately recognize while introducing the “Stewie” story to a new generation.
